When I first met this lovely lady some months ago, she walked into my office wearing a face mask. I assumed she had a cold. She told me she always moved around with the mask because of her acne scars and pigmentation. We did a photodocumentation of that visit.

She continued to wear her mask at every visit after that.Months down the line, she finally walked in without it!!! We celebrated like little kids.

Acne affects more than skin. It can shape how someone shows up, how they speak and how they see themselves. So the next time you meet someone dealing with it, be kinder with your words.

They already know. They see it in the mirror every day. They don’t need another reminder.
Kindness is the easiest thing you can give.

Post-acne marks come in two very different flavours, and most of us have been treating them like they're the same problem.

One's pigmentation, flat, just your skin's leftover response to inflammation, and it fades on its own with time. The other's scarring, actual texture change, your skin's structure got altered, so it's not going anywhere without a little help rebuilding it.

Quick way to check which one you're dealing with: run your finger over it. Feel a dip or a bump? That's scarring. Totally smooth, just darker? That's pigmentation, and patience (plus SPF, always SPF) is doing more for you than you'd think.

Botox works on movement. That's it, that's the whole story.
So if your lines only show up when you smile or squint, it's a good candidate, that muscle relaxes and so does the line.

But if those lines are still sitting there when your face is completely still, or they showed up because of sun exposure or volume loss under the skin, softening the muscle alone won't really move the needle.

And no, going heavier doesn't close that gap either. It just makes your face move less overall, which isn't quite the same thing as "smoother."

Worth understanding the difference before assuming Botox is the answer for every line near your eyes.

Your skin deserves a plan, not just a trend.

A good microneedling session starts well before the needle touches you. It begins with someone looking closely at your skin type, your tone, your history, and how your skin is behaving right now.

Save this for the questions worth asking before you book:
→ Is my skin in the right place for this today?
→ What needle depth suits my skin tone?
→ What should my aftercare look like, day by day?
The best results come from the right start, not the fastest one.

This is what a keloid actually looks like, grown well beyond the original wound, something a regular scar never does.

Keloids form when the skin's healing response doesn't know when to stop, continuing to produce tissue long after the wound has closed.

They're more common in certain skin types, can run in families, and often start from something small, a piercing, a minor cut, even a bug bite.

They're not dangerous, but they can be itchy, tender, and they don't go away on their own the way a normal scar fades.

Just skin doing what skin does after years of smiling, squinting and laughing more than you've probably noticed.
Sun, screen time, rubbing your eyes, all of it speeds things up a little.

But they're not a flaw to fix, just something worth understanding if you're curious about them.

Most people treat eczema from the outside only, better lotion, fragrance-free everything.

But for a lot of people, what's triggering the flare-up is on their plate, not just their skin.

That itch your child just won't leave alone? It might not be something they'll simply grow out of.

Itchy patches behind the knees or elbows, dry rough skin that regular lotion doesn't touch, restless nights from all that scratching, these are common signs of eczema, and they're more manageable than most parents realize.

Lukewarm baths instead of hot ones. Moisturizer right after, while the skin's still a little damp. Soft, breathable fabrics that don't add to the irritation.

With the right routine, most kids find real relief, it just takes knowing what actually helps.
