2 DAYS OF HAIRSTYLING TRAINING by iShadow Style Studio...

What an amazing two days of learning, practising, and building confidence!
During Day 1 and Day 2 of our Hairstyling Training, my student learned the foundations of professional hairstyling, including:

- Hair preparation and sectioning
- Understanding hair texture and styling tools
- Curling techniques and creating long-lasting curls
- Backcombing and adding volume
- Braiding techniques
- Half-up hairstyles
- Creating beautiful, wearable hairstyles with the correct techniques and product placement.

The best part is seeing the progress from learning the techniques to putting them into practice! Every style you see in these photos was created by my student during her training.

There is so much more to hairstyling than simply creating a beautiful hairstyle. It's about understanding the hair, choosing the right techniques, paying attention to detail, and creating a look that makes each client feel confident and beautiful.
I am so proud of her dedication, creativity, and willingness to learn! This is only the beginning.

FROM A LITTLE DREAM TO A BLESSING I GET TO LIVE EVERY DAY ...

This photo takes me back to 2011, when I was still busy with studying hairdressing. I had a big dream in my heart, but at the time, I had no idea what the future would hold.

I bought myself a cheap mirror and chair and started seeing clients with a portable basin in my bathroom.

Looking back now, and seeing how far I've come, I feel so incredibly blessed and humbled. What once felt like a big dream is now the reality I get to live every single day.

They say, "One day, you will look back and realize you are living the dream you once prayed for." And I truly understand the meaning of those words now.

This journey has taken hard work, dedication, sacrifice, faith, and A LOT of prayer. It hasn't always been easy, but every step has been worth it.To anyone who has a dream in their heart, whether you are just starting out with a little mirror and a chair or working towards something that feels far beyond your reach:
Don't give up on your dream. Keep learning. Keep working. Keep showing up. Trust the process, put your faith in God, and remember that small beginnings can lead to beautiful things.

If I could go back and speak to the girl in this photo, I would tell her:
"Keep going. One day, you will look around and realize that the dream you prayed for is the life you are living."

I am so grateful and honoured to do what I do every day. Thank you to every client who has supported me, trusted me, and been part of this journey. You are a part of my story, and I am forever grateful.
Dreams really can come true. Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep working.

A day in the life of me working in the salon from 7:00–16:30…

I had this whole content day planned in my head — all the beautiful before & afters, videos, behind-the-scenes moments… you name it!

And what did I actually manage to photograph?

The hair from my first Hair & Makeup client.

Because the truth is, once my clients are in my chair, I get so excited and completely drawn into what I’m doing that the phone gets forgotten.

And honestly… I’m okay with that.

Because as much as I love creating content and sharing my work with you, giving my clients my full attention will always be more important to me.

I want you to feel seen, listened to and completely taken care of when you’re in my chair — not like I’m constantly stopping to get the perfect picture.

So sometimes you’ll see a full day of gorgeous transformations… and other days, you’ll get one photo and a story.

But behind that one photo was a whole day of creating, connecting, chatting, laughing and making my clients feel beautiful. And that’s the part that matters most to me.

HOW TO GET THAT GLOWY SUMMER MAKEUP LOOK — WITHOUT LOOKING OILY!

Glowy skin starts before the makeup even goes on!

1. HYDRATE YOUR SKIN
Well-hydrated skin gives your makeup a smoother, healthier-looking finish. Start with a good moisturiser suited to your skin type and give it a few minutes to absorb.

2. LESS IS MORE
You don't need layers of foundation to achieve beautiful skin. Use a lightweight, buildable base and apply it where you actually need coverage.
