Ever wonder how your body communicates what it truly needs?
We often navigate stress using our conscious mind, but true balance happens deeper down. Within us, there are distinct levels working together, our Soul, Conscious Mind, Subconscious, and Physical Body.
The unsung hero running in the background is your Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). Operating entirely at the subconscious level, it manages your heart rate, stress responses (fight-or-flight vs. rest-and-digest), digestion, and overall vitality without you ever having to think about it.
When life gets overwhelming, emotional or physical stress gets stored in these subconscious nervous system pathways, leading to fatigue, tension, and burnout.
So, how do we listen to what your nervous system is trying to say?
Through Specialised Kinesiology & Muscle Testing.
Instead of guessing what you need, muscle testing acts as a biofeedback tool. By checking your neuromuscular response, your body indicates exactly where stress or energy disruptions are held, and more importantly, what it needs to restore balance.
What a Specialised Kinesiology Balance at AromatherapyWorx offers you:
🧠 Direct Subconscious Biofeedback: Bypass the chatter of the conscious mind to pinpoint root causes of stress.
Personalized Corrections: Uncover the exact support your body is asking for, whether through aromatherapy, reflex points, or somatic stress-release techniques.
Nervous System Reset: Shift your autonomic nervous system out of "overdrive" and back into state of healing and peace.
Empowered Healing: Remember, "you" are your primary caregiver. A balance gives your body the precise tools it needs to self-regulate and heal.

Because this weekend marks the beautiful festival of Sukkot, the reading shifts away from the standard cycle to a special holiday Torah portion. Metaphorically, it is all about finding true security, shelter, and divine connection in the temporary and fragile moments of life.
Weekly Wisdom & Wellness: Embodying the Essence of Sukkot 🌿
Shabbat Shalom, AromatherapyWorx family! ✨
This weekend, as the Jewish calendar enters the joyful festival of Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles), we pause our regular reading cycle to step into a special, deeply symbolic holiday portion.
The Torah introduces an interesting rule this week: when a newborn calf or lamb is born, it must remain close to its mother for its first seven days before it can be offered. Simultaneously, the tradition of Sukkot invites us to leave our permanent, sturdy homes to dwell in a Sukkah, a temporary, fragile outdoor hut covered only by natural elements like branches and leaves.
🌾 The Metaphysical & Metaphorical Meaning.
Metaphorically, these traditions are a masterclass in sacred vulnerability and absolute presence.
The newborn animal being kept with its mother reminds us that before we can give ourselves, our projects, or our energy out to the universe, we must first establish a rooted, nurtured foundation of safety.
Stepping into the fragile Sukkah reminds us that our true security doesn't come from solid concrete walls or material armor. True protection comes from aligning ourselves with the divine flow of nature, trusting the universe, and recognizing the invisible canopy of grace that always surrounds us. It asks us: Can you find peace even when things feel exposed and temporary?
The Aromatherapy Connection: Grounding Into the Divine Canopy
To bring the expansive, earth-centered energy of Sukkot, into your physical space and meditation practice this week, we are turning to the ancient, sacred trees:
🌲 Frankincense & Cedarwood Essential Oils 🌲
These deep, woodsy, and resinous oils carry the exact energetic vibration of the Sukkah. Frankincense bridges the physical world with the spiritual, opening the crown chakra to receive higher guidance and a sense of divine protection. Cedarwood provides the structural, grounding support we need when our external circumstances feel fragile or changing. Together, they whisper: You are safe, you are protected, and you are deeply rooted in the present moment.
✨ Weekly Ritual:
Diffuse 3 drops of Frankincense and 3 drops of Cedarwood during your quiet reflections this weekend. As the earthy aroma fills the room, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and let go of the need to control everything. Trust that you are sheltered by something far greater than what the eyes can see.
What areas of your life are calling for you to trust the process and embrace a little more vulnerability this week? Drop a comment below!👇
Wishing you a peaceful, grounded, and fragrant weekend. 🕊️✨

Metaphysical & Metaphorical Summary for Ha’azinu, Shuvah & Yom Kippur.
“The Song, The Return, The Unveiling.”
1. Ha’azinu. The Cosmic Song of Alignment.
Ha’azinu is not merely a poem; it is a vibrational map.
Moses sings reality into clarity, a frequency that reveals where Israel’s inner tuning has drifted and how to recalibrate.
Metaphysically, Ha’azinu teaches:
Your life is a song, and every choice is a note.
When you fall out of alignment, the dissonance is not punishment it is feedback.
The “Rock” symbolizes the unchanging core of your being, the part of you that remains whole even when your outer life feels fragmented.
The “eagle” imagery is the soul’s reminder: you are carried even when you think you are flying alone.
Ha’azinu invites you to listen for the subtle disharmonies in your life and retune them with honesty, humility, and courage.
2. Parashat Shuvah. The Return to Your Original Frequency.
Shuvah is the heartbeat of Teshuvah, the call to return.
Metaphorically, Teshuvah is not going back to who you were.
It is returning to who you truly are beneath conditioning, fear, and survival patterns.
Shuvah teaches:
Return is a movement inward, not backward.
Every misstep contains the seed of its own correction.
The gates of return are not “opened” they are always open, but we only notice them when we stop running from ourselves.
The Divine does not ask for perfection, only presence.
This week is the soul whispering:
“Come home. You are not lost, you are simply unfolding.”
3. Yom Kippur. The Day of Unveiling.
Yom Kippur is the moment the veils thin.
It is not about guilt or deprivation, it is about clarity.
Metaphysically, fasting removes noise.
White garments dissolve identity.
Silence becomes a sanctuary where the soul can speak without interruption.
Yom Kippur is the day you meet:
The 'you' beneath habit.
The 'you' beneath ego.
The 'you' beneath fear.
The 'you' that remembers why you came into this lifetime
It is the annual reset of your "soul contract", the moment you step back into alignment with your highest timeline.
Metaphorical Thread Connecting All Three.
Ha’azinu is the "song".
Shuvah is the "return".
Yom Kippur is the "unveiling".
Together they form a spiritual sequence:
1. Hear the truth.
2. Return to the truth.
3. Become the truth.
This week is a corridor of transformation, a tuning fork held to the heart, calling it back into resonance with its divine frequency.
Affirmation for the Week.
“I return to the truth of who I am.
I release distortion and reclaim clarity.
My soul sings in harmony with its highest purpose.
I walk forward unveiled, aligned, and whole.”

You can sit in the sun for a full hour and make exactly zero vitamin D. Whether you make any comes down to something almost nobody checks. The length of your shadow.
Here is the test. Walk outside and look at the shadow you cast. Shorter than you are tall, your skin is making vitamin D. Longer than you are tall, it is making none.
The reason is geometry. Vitamin D synthesis needs UVB, a short wavelength the atmosphere eats. When the sun sits low, its light cuts through a much thicker slab of atmosphere on the way in and the UVB gets filtered out before it reaches the ground. UVA, the wavelength that drives skin ageing, sails through at almost any hour. Once the sun climbs past roughly 45 degrees your shadow drops below your own height, and that is the moment UVB starts landing on you.
Which makes the standard advice a little strange. You were told to stay out of the sun between about 10 and 4. That window is the only part of the day your body can make vitamin D at all.
A few more things that rarely get mentioned.
Glass blocks nearly all UVB. Sitting in a sunny window or driving with your arm in the light produces nothing.
Sunscreen works by absorbing UVB, the exact beam your skin needs. Applied properly it cuts synthesis hard.
The further you live from the equator, the more months of the year the sun never gets high enough at any hour. Your shadow stays long all day and your levels slide through winter.
Darker skin needs several times the exposure for the same result, because melanin is doing its job.
Early morning light still matters, by the way. It anchors your body clock. It just does close to nothing for your vitamin D, so people doing a 7am walk in long sleeves are getting one benefit and assuming they got both.
None of this is a case for burning. Burning is the actual risk. Short regular exposure near the middle of the day, skin that rarely sees light doing the work, then shade or cover before you go anywhere near pink.

What can we control?
🌿 The Human Nervous System (1 system, 2 major branches).
1. Central Nervous System (CNS). The “command centre.”
Brain
Spinal cord
This is where integration, interpretation, memory, and higher processing happen.
2. Peripheral Nervous System (PNS).
Everything outside the brain and spinal cord.
It carries messages to and from the CNS.
The PNS has two major subdivisions:
1. Somatic Nervous System.
Voluntary control
- Skeletal muscles
- Conscious movement
- Reflex arcs
2. Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). Involuntary, automatic regulation.
- Organs
- Glands
- Smooth muscle
The ANS has three branches:
1. Sympathetic. Fight / flight /freeze
Mobilises energy
Increases heart rate
Heightens alertness
2. Parasympathetic. Rest / digest
Calms the system
Supports healing and digestion
3. Enteric. The “gut brain”
Controls digestion
Has its own reflexes and neurotransmitters
Communicates with the vagus nerve
🌟 In kinesiopractic terms.
We often work with:
- CNS coherence.
- ANS balance (sympathetic vs parasympathetic).
- Enteric feedback.
- Sensory‑motor loops.
- Neurovascular points.
- Neurolymphatic points.
So although anatomically we have one nervous system, functionally we work with multiple layers and circuits.
🧠 What You Cannot Control. These are automatic processes:
Heartbeat rhythm, Hormone release, Blood pressure, Immune responses, Reflex arcs, Organ function, Inflammation, Pain signals (you can modulate them, not command them).
You can influence these through lifestyle, breath, nervous system regulation, and emotional processing, but you cannot directly control them.
✨ The Real Truth.
You have one nervous system, but you have three levels of power over it:
1. Direct control - Somatic nervous system.
→ movement, breath, posture, grounding
2. Indirect influence. Autonomic nervous system.
→ stress response, calm response, vagal tone.
3. Conditional influence - Enteric nervous system.
→ gut–brain communication, emotional digestion
This is why holistic work is so effective: you’re not controlling the body, you’re changing the conditions the body responds to.
🌿 What You Can Control (Directly or Indirectly)
1. Somatic Nervous System (Voluntary). You CAN control this
This is the system of conscious movement.
You can directly control: Breathing patterns, Muscle tension and relaxation, Posture, Facial expression, Speech, Movement and grounding techniques, Stretching, shaking, tapping, walking.
This is why somatic practices, kinesiology corrections, and breathwork are so powerful, they give you direct access to the body’s “manual controls.”
🔥 What You Can Influence (but not fully control)
2. Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). You CAN influence it
You cannot command your heart rate or digestion the way you command your arm to move, but you can shift the state of the ANS through certain actions.
Sympathetic (fight/flight)
You can reduce sympathetic activation through:
Slow breathing
Grounding
Touch
Aromatherapy
Vagal stimulation
Kinesiopractic techniques
Meditation
Ritual practices
You cannot switch it off like a light, but you can turn the volume down.
Parasympathetic (rest/digest)
You can increase parasympathetic activation through:
Long exhales
Warmth
Safety cues
Softening the jaw
Gentle movement
Prayer, chanting, humming
Connection with others
You cannot force digestion or healing, but you can create the conditions for them.
3. Enteric Nervous System (Gut Brain) You CAN influence it
You cannot directly control gut reflexes, but you can influence them through:
Breathwork
Vagus nerve activation
Emotional processing
Nutrition
Hydration
Stress reduction
Kinesiopractic corrections
The gut responds strongly to emotional and energetic states, so Kinesiopractic work in metaphysical and somatic fields has a real impact here.

11/09/2026
Starting at nightfall tonight is the Jewish high holy day called, Rosh Hashanah, literally meaning the head of the year.
🌍 Creation and Continuity.
Rosh Hashanah is not only the birthday of the world, but a reminder that creation is ongoing. The universe is still unfolding, and we are co-creators in its story. Each choice we make, each kindness we extend, each injustice we resist, these are brushstrokes on the canvas of tomorrow.
🔥 The Akeidah – Faith and Responsibility.
The parsha of Vayeira brings us to the Akeidah, the binding of Isaac. Avraham’s test is not only about faith, but about the weight of responsibility. It asks us: what are we willing to sacrifice, and what must we protect? Isaac’s survival reminds us that life itself is entrusted to us, and that our role is to preserve and nurture it.
🌱 Stewardship of the Future.
As caretakers of the earth and stewards of the generations to come, we are called to tend to what has been placed in our hands. Just as Avraham was entrusted with his son, we are entrusted with our planet, our communities, and our traditions. The question is not only what we inherit, but what we will leave behind.
✨ A Call for Renewal.
This New Year is an invitation: to renew our commitments, to repair what is broken, and to plant seeds for a future we may never see but others will harvest. In doing so, we honor both the Creator and the creation still in progress.
