MC Make-Up Artist+ Image Stylist
www.mcmakeup-pe.co.za LOOK YOUR MOST BEAUTIFUL ALL DAY AND EVERY DAY! 16 years Professional. And so beautiful! EFFORTLESSLY! And the best of all?
Beauty happens when a woman finally becomes friends with herself and her features! It's about her relaxing in her skin and being comfortable with the things that makes her so unique! And this is my passion and pleasure to be the one to share this experience with all my clients! It is my passion to demonstrate through my work as make-up artist and stylist to teach a woman : a beautifully made-up face shows confidence, a beautifully dressed body shows love and pride for herself! In my experience there are always women who look stunning! It is not that they are blessed with more beauty than another - it is just that they know how to put it all together! These women know the value of developing inner and outer beauty, and it is my chosen profession to assist those who don't know how! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the so called "ugly duckling" turn into the most beautiful swan! A princess who turns into a queen! This can happen to every woman. When your emotions are at a good place - it is reflected in your face. In short: I have been make-up artist and stylist for the past 18 years. I love to present self-enhancement workshops as well as assisting all my brides on their wedding day! A bride for me is the ultimate of beauty and she deserves my absolute best as I consider that every face is my advertisement! Make-up for me is fun. I love making women feel great about themselves. I love showing women how to bring out their own natural beauty and I love to make a woman look so naturally beautiful that she will fall in love with herself! It is all about looking good and feeling good! Let me tell you a little secret...
God has blessed me with a talent - which I am very grateful for! I used to paint as a child - but I lost that - I couldn't even paint a stick-figure. One day I asked my Heavenly Father to restore to me this gift! His answer: "But my child, I have done so long time ago! You are just painting on a different canvas now!"

Hi all friends. The past week was quite stressful and I had to see oncologist again for the pre-op on Tuesday. Didnt sleep sleep much because I just didnt feel emotionally strong enough to have more cuts in my face. So with lots of praying I went to the appointment.
The oncologist was extremely thorough and checked and double checked my face...the previous scar and then she asked me do I want to go through this now again. I said only if it is really necessarry and frankly I am a bit low and if it can wait...so can I.
After some discussion.....she said she is not going to cut now again! So op is cancelled for now.
She examined me and said that she looked at everything and is of the opinion that the C isnt growing again..but the first cut made thick scar tissue underneath my skin right over the eye socket bone. So it is causing friction and pressing on my eye muscle. I must get used to it and it will get better in time. The original pirametres inside was big enough to prevent spreading. But said it is not properly healed inside yet..and if she were to cut on wednesday it will be the size of a R5 coin. Deeper too...and then there will not be enough skin to cover it.
So for now I must continue with the ointment..will check me in mid Oct again unless it cause the GP to be concerned again!
Prayers answered!!
It was a huge relief for me as I am really taking strain with many things and the colonoscopy the 13th Oct.
At least I can hide it underneath make-up and large sunglasses!!🤣🤣 I am so grateful to Abba Father!!
And as per the photograph I have decided to never colour my hair again. So the grey is allowed to grow out again after I had to tone down from the black. A LA NATURAL from now on...66 yrs..its time I think
Thank you for caring .....it means a lot to me.
Take good care of yourselves. ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Just a quick update..my op is sceduled for the 23rd Sept. And after the new blood tests I am booked for a colonoscopy on 13 October. And in the meantime I am staying positive . Thank you for all the love and care.

A wonderful down to the reality of man....woman..... we have all lived. Thank you S.J.VAN ZYL
Somewhere along the way, celebrating a woman on a cover became synonymous with erasing every visible sign that she has lived.
Wrinkles disappear. Skin becomes porcelain. Faces are tightened, softened and polished until decades of expression are reduced to something almost illustrated — and then we sell it back to women as aspiration.
There is nothing wrong with beautiful lighting, beautiful makeup or thoughtful retouching. That is part of the craft. But there is a point where enhancement becomes erasure.
What are we saying when a woman can be accomplished enough, interesting enough and extraordinary enough to deserve the cover of a magazine, but apparently not old enough to look her own age on it?
Let women have pores. Let them have lines around their eyes from laughing. Let their faces soften and change.
Photograph the hell out of them — make them powerful, glamorous, sensual and beautiful — but leave some evidence that a human being was actually there.
Age is not a retouching error.
Ok.....I will get a date on Tuesday...the C is back and I must go under the knife again. I still pray and trust that it will clear up. 🙏🏻

I THINK THIS IS BRILLIANT!!
A beauty pageant in England made history by doing something almost unheard of in the industry:
EVERY contestant competed without makeup.
The idea grew after Melisa Raouf became the first contestant in Miss England’s 94-year history to compete completely bare-faced in 2022.
She said she wanted to challenge the pressure women feel to cover their skin with makeup and filters just to feel attractive.
Her decision attracted attention around the world.
Then organisers took it even further.
In 2023, Miss England held what it described as the world’s first entirely makeup-free beauty pageant.
All 19 contestants walked the stage with no foundation, no concealer, no mascara and no lipstick.
Melisa returned, this time as a judge.
The winner was 26-year-old dental nurse Natasha Beresford, who became the first makeup-free Miss London.
For an industry traditionally built around perfect hair, makeup and appearance, the event deliberately removed one of its biggest traditions.
No makeup artists.
No covering imperfections.
Just 19 women competing exactly as they looked naturally.

Good day all. Just a quick feedback...today I could remove the special plaster. Quite impressed and happy after 2 months of healing.
I, however have to be checked again as it made 2 bumps that changes size everyday and a weird sensation seems present.
In the meantime I am now blessing the area with 100% clear organic castor oil.
So lets see what the next round brings.
Thank you all for your messages and condolences during the passing of my sister. I am back home again.
Love and hugs.

Good morning all...sorry I am a bit silent...unfortunately lost my eldest sister on the 11th July due to Leukemia and Bonemarrow Cancer!
Please ladies if you feel something is not right in your body..have it checked out...and even if your doc says you are ok...get a second opinion!!
My sister had been ill for about 2 years..tests were done..she was treated for anything but!! Eventually in January this year she ended up in hospital...2 new docters took charge and requested ALL the tests which were done the past 2 years. They were flabbergasted to say the least! The one docter said he couldnt understand how the other docter could not "connect the dots"!
Well..from February she was in hospital....by the then she was already stage 4.
She died with me and my brother-in-law beside her bed.
Please please...Cancer is everywhere on the rise and people are walking around not understanding what their bodies are telling them. Have yourself checked out if you are concerned in any way.
You have nothing to loose..but everything to gain..your health and life!

Hi everybody...just a quick follow up. My face is healing very well...the doc is satisfied. The area on top and underneath the skin is stil very sensitive and red. And the nerve, directly responsible for the triggering of the muscle that lifts my top lip on the left side, is still on vacation..looks like a permanent one. Lol. I still have 3 more weeks to wear that specific plaster that aids healing together with the ointment.
All in all I am beyond grateful that the doc could remove all the roots.
Besides..I am also grateful that I am a make-up artist and can hide scars etc.
God bless. Xx

The alphabet of Skin Cancer.
I made a post like this earlier but somehow it got lost.
It is very important that we wake up about what we actually do to our biggest organ..our Skin!
Take more time to inspect your skin..similar to our regular breast checks. We might see something but secretly hope it will go away..especially if it is a spot that takes a long time to heal.
Next time I will rather have egg on my face if I have something looked at and it is negative....instead of taking long to have it checked out..it might be too late.
So ladies..let us all learn THE ABCD OF SKINCANCER.

Lets make it real.
Recently I had to have a small op to my face. I had a small red spot on my left cheek close to my nose which just wouldnt clear up. 3 years the docter had it freeze burnt. It would heal for a few weeks...then BOOM..back it is.
But recently this thing changed..from the red spot it would make a large white circle with a red ring. Quite intriquing. And you know..
Me being a make-up artist I could cover it so well that nobody really noticed it. Some would notice my left top lip would sag a little more. Then finally the docter decided to cut. Admitted to day hospital I was pushed into theatre. The surgeon even asked ne what type of music I wanted to listen to as it was going to be local anestheatic. He asked if I ever had botox injections..on which I said no...well he said that is what it will feel like to you . Man oh man..ladies you who do the botox injection thing...you are brave! No thanks..it felt as if the needle was pushed right into my cheek bone! Then it felt as if my face was dead. I saw the scalpel ..I felt him pulling my brains out..lol not...but soon it was done and he promised that my "facelift" would last..albeit a bit black and blue. He did suchh fine stitches. I can recommend.
Well today I got the results. I believed it was just the basal cell skin cancer. But not so!
It is an agressive cancer growing just under the skin and it spread by spreading roots throughout your body. I thank and praise Abba Father that the surgeon managed to get the roots ..so he got it all!! Treatment will be a very specific plaster and chemo ointment for 5 weeks. And follow up every month.
The moral of my story is this...to be tanned is not always a good thing. To not protect your skin is not a good thing. To spend too much time in the son is not a good thing...unless you wear hats and clothes that cover. There are very good sunblock creams which doesnt contribute to cancer.
Check your skin. It could suddenly cost you your life if you do not do self inspection. Dont just cover the spots with make-up....be aware!
Thank you for reading my long story..but if it can just make one person aware of skin cancer then it was worth it.
