Meet Loraine, lovingly known as Lor at The Birdhouse - the talented lady behind our homemade baked treats 🧁

Lor has worked with Christine for over 9 years. Alongside her super organised office responsibilities, Lor loves spending time in the kitchen baking our delicious homemade muffins you may recognise.

Perfecting the home baked recipes right here in Christine's home kitchen, Lorain's muffins, brownies, apple pies and shortbread are some of our thoughtful special touches that make The Birdhouse feel like home. She loves baking and is always keen to continue learning and perfecting her craft.

Our team describes Lor so beautifully - “If angels are among us, she is one of them. Golden and beautiful inside and out.” 🤍

We’re incredibly lucky to have her as part of the Birdhouse Family, and this is just one small way we would like to honour and thank her for the joy she brings everyday! 😊

Ever wondered what happens at The Mushroom Farm when the sun goes down and the gates close? 🌙

Birdhouse Pip has the inside story… or at least, that’s what we’ve been told. Is it true? Who knows! 🐦

A sweet October treat for your hands & feet 💅

Enjoy a Gel Manicure and finish with beautifully painted toes for only R520.

Come get comfy, choose your colours and enjoy some well-deserved pampering - no tricks, just treats 👻

It’s the moments that make our world go around 🤍

The deep sigh of relaxation. Friends catching up side by side. A mom and daughter pausing together for a well-deserved rest. The stories our clients have shared with us over the years that we hold so dearly. Gently tucking in our precious pensioners with a warm blanket and a cup of tea.

And the kind words shared with us at the desk after a treatment - these mean more to our team than you may realise.

For us, The Birdhouse has always been about more than great treatments. It’s about people, relationships and holding space where you feel genuinely cared for.

Those are the moments we treasure most 🕊️

We all have our thing at The Birdhouse 💅

Maybe you’re The Nail Girl, already planning your next colour. Perhaps you’re The Foot Soaker - ready to put your feet up, switch off and enjoy being looked after.

Maybe you’re The Tension Tamer, counting down the days until your next massage...or you’re The Everything Girl, because efficiency is key and sometimes one treatment simply isn’t enough 😉

Whatever your treatment personality, we’d love to have you in our space for some well-deserved time that’s all about you 🤍

Sometimes it’s the thoughtful extras that make all the difference. 🤍

Our treatments go beyond the basics, with nourishing soy wraps for dry hands, muscle ease leg massages, complimentary back exfoliation with a hot towel compress included with every massage, and tinted brows and lashes - a popular finishing touch to add to your sugaring treatment.

We also offer elderly home care and hospital visits, bringing our care to those who may not be able to visit our space themselves.

It’s all part of how our skilled team looks after you - with care and those extra touches we know mean so much. 🌿
