Not every wound should be treated at home. 🩹
Knowing when to seek professional wound care can make a difference in preventing complications and supporting proper healing.
Seek professional help if:
1. Bleeding won’t stop
2. You notice increasing redness, swelling, warmth, pus or worsening pain 3. The wound is from a bite, burn or serious injury
When in doubt, get it checked. Your wound deserves the right care from the start. ❤️

3 Signs Your Wound Needs Professional Attention
Not every wound heals on its own. If you notice increased drainage, signs of infection, or little to no improvement, it may be time to seek professional wound care.
⚠️ Watch for:
-Increased fluid, pus or a foul smell.
-Redness, warmth, swelling or worsening pain.
-A wound that isn’t healing or is getting bigger.
Early attention can help prevent complications and support proper wound healing.

MYTH OR REALITY?
“A scab means my wound is healing well.”
Drop your guess below before you swipe for the answer 👇
Reality: a scab shows your body is protecting the wounds but heavy scabbing isn’t always the best sign.
Many wounds actually heal faster in a moist (not dry/scabbed) environment. The right approach always depends on the wound’s type, depth and condition.
Have a wound that isn’t healing the way you expected? That’s exactly what we’re here for. 💬

Foot wounds should never be ignored.🦶
A small cut, blister, pressure sore or wound on the foot can become serious if it isn’t cared for properly especially for people living with diabetes, poor circulation or other conditions that affect wound healing.🩸
Knowing the warning signs can help you act early. Look out for increasing redness, swelling, warmth, pain, discharge, bad odour or a wound that isn’t healing.
Don’t wait until a foot wound gets worse.
🩺 Know the signs. Know what to do. Know when to seek professional wound care.

Neuropathy: when nerve damage makes it harder to feel what’s happening in your feet. 🦶
Peripheral neuropathy can cause reduced sensation, numbness, tingling or weakness especially in the feet and legs. When you have less feeling, a small cut, blister, burn or pressure injury can go unnoticed and potentially become a more serious foot wound.
That’s why daily foot checks and proper foot care matter, particularly for people living with diabetes or other conditions that can affect nerve health.
