My week in pictures. Kombucha workshop, selling bee-inspired-merch to be able to keep rescuing the ladies 🐝🐝🐝. My Beautiful that won silver in the Eskom Expo. 3 Wisdom teeth extracted, a wandering jew plant gift and today, slow and gentle on the couch.
Im so grateful that I dont have a "job"....truly! I cant imagine having to ask someone else if its ok to take time off to care for myself or even just be present with my Beautiful during the competition 😌. This privilege is our collective birthright.

Canola is flowering NOW. Bees love it! After winter, Canola is such a gift to bees! They're HUNGRY...and just about make it through winter. FEED THE BEES. GROW FLOWERS!!
Potplant was heavy!! Bee family was tiny (maybe 10 000 at most). Bees have been struggling through winter. The dearth of food available is a constant concern! Please humans...stop messing with their food. If you dont, YOU will starve. Wake up honey please!

Honey is the first thing that comes to mind when we think of bees 🐝. Truth is, they also give us beeswax, propolis, and even venom to harvest. We're not keen on the venom or royal jelly (extracting it is far too glutinous and invasive)
We're gathering all the wax our bees produced, and using what we can to produce candles 🕯, salves, and balms and wraps!

Junior Beekeepers are the future. Sounds cliché. Still true. Bees need food, its the young people that can change things around IA.
