Strengthening local ownership of the Platform for Communities!

IOM brought together key stakeholders to support the transfer of platform management to the Office for Community Affairs (OCA).

Launched with support from the British Embassy Pristina and Embassy of Switzerland in Kosovo, the platform improves transparency, access to information, and community engagement across Kosovo.

The official handover is set for September 2026, ensuring long-term sustainability and institutional ownership.

Bringing together key actors to strengthen support for migrants in Kosovo.

IOM Kosovo and the MIA convened employers, private colleges, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders for a networking and information-sharing event focused on employment opportunities, labour rights, and access to services for migrants.

The event also introduced new information packages and referral mechanisms that will help migrants better navigate and access the services available to them.

This activity is implemented under the project “Accelerating EU Accession and Labour Mobility in the Western Balkans through Diaspora Engagement,” supported by AICS Tirana and Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale.

Under the Community Stabilisation component of the EU for Communities Programme, funded by the European Union and managed by the European Union in Kosovo, IOM invites individuals, groups and associations/cooperatives to apply for support to start or grow a small business or develop a community initiative.

Financial and/or technical support is available for practical ideas that can create jobs, increase income, strengthen cooperation and contribute to community development.
