Sensitizing acrylate exposure, brought to you by YOKEFELLOW. 🚨 Pretty nails don’t make unsafe application safe. Watch the buzzers, spot the exposure, and don’t forget your homework at the end. 😂

We all want beautiful nails we just don’t want the exposure!

Putting gel products in a universal lamp is like putting bread in your nail lamp!

If you watch any of my videos, please make it this one. This may be one of the most important things I ever talk about when it comes to gel. You cannot look at gel and tell whether it is fully cured. It can look perfect, feel hard, be filed, be worn, and still be under-cured. That is the part so many people do not understand. Putting gel in a lamp for the recommended amount of time does not automatically mean it reached a proper cure. If you’re using a universal lamp or one that has not been tested in a laboratory or by the manufacturer, you don’t know if it’s curing. Putting it back in for another minute does not guarantee it either. Please do not scroll past this one because you think you already know what cured gel looks like. That is the whole point. You cannot tell by looking at it. So is your gel fully cured, or does it just seem it ?

Beautiful but dangerous.

If we want to be treated like professionals, paid like professionals and seen as something more than “just nails,” then we have to start acting like it.

We cannot keep demanding more respect for this industry while turning professional products into kindergarten craft supplies.

At some point, the cute little hacks, toys, crafts and “look what I made with gel” nonsense starts working against all of us.

You want clients to understand the education behind what we do? You want better pay? More respect? More credibility?

Then stop treating the products of this profession like playthings.

We cannot keep asking people to take us seriously while giving them reasons not to.
