Summer of 2024, I was depressed, scared, and determined to find a way to help provide more for my family. Permanent makeup wasn’t working for us, but I knew I wanted to stay in the beauty industry.
With the support of my family, I went to school for nails. I was terrified and sad to miss time with my kids, but I kept reminding myself: just get through it and hustle.
I passed state board in April 2025 and started working that same week. I took every client I could, worked constantly, and slowly built this little business into something I’m incredibly proud of.
About 2.5 weeks ago, I got the call that I was chosen as a Favorite in Best of Yuba-Sutter 2026. I’m still in shock. 🥹 I haven’t even been licensed for 2 years, and there were so many talented nail techs in this category.
This is what hard work, dedication, and a whole lot of support can do. I’m so grateful for my clients, my kids, Richard, my parents, my siblings, and everyone who has supported me along the way.
Thank you all so much. 🥹🫶
