Being a solo esthetician, this is actually pretty freaking cool. But what makes me most proud is knowing that my 122 Google reviews came from real clients who chose to share their experience. No discounts or incentives for leaving a review, just honest feedback from people who have trusted me and my business. 🤎

This year has had a lot going on behind the scenes personally and there have definitely been times when I’ve just been trying to keep everything moving. So opening this in the mail today hit a little differently.

Honey is having another big skincare moment, but there is an important difference between a trend and the evidence behind it.

Medical grade honey is used in certain professional products. That does not mean honey from your kitchen or every honey based cosmetic will provide the same benefits.

A well formulated honey product may feel moisturizing or soothing, but the complete formula still matters, especially for sensitive skin. Honey products may also contain fragrance, essential oil and lots of other things which can bother some people.

At Sweet 2B Sugared, I don’t judge an ingredient by whether it is natural, clinical, expensive or trending. I look at how it is formulated, what the product has actually been shown to do and whether it makes sense for the skin using it.

🪏An ingrown hair is not a digging project.

I know it’s tempting to squeeze, pick or keep exfoliating until the hair comes out. Unfortunately, all that extra attention can create more inflammation and leave discoloration behind long after the original bump settles.

Exfoliating products can be helpful, but stronger and more frequent doesn’t automatically mean better. Your skin type, hair texture, current irritation and the products you’re already using all matter.

At Sweet 2B Sugared, corrective care is never about attacking the skin. It’s about looking at the full picture, including your hair removal habits and home routine, then making thoughtful adjustments.
