On August 10, 2026, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit Colombia, and our home in Los Almendros, Pereira, was one of the hardest hit. Our good friends, Ángela María Valencia, and her son lived there, now it's uninhabitable. They had no insurance. She put all her savings there. We're asking for help to get them through this and rebuild their home. Every contribution means the world to us and them.

I wanted to take a moment to explain “108 OMs (aka AUMs”). It’s literally a collected group making the sound OM 108 times in a row. It takes roughly 20-25 minutes and I’ll use a Mala to count, so you can just immerse yourself. If you’ve never participated, you don’t need experience of any kind. We’ll do a very quick settling for comfort, and then we’ll chant. The sound will get soft and loud, you’ll feel a collective vibration, and after we’ve chanted 108 times, we’ll just sit quietly for 3-5 minutes absorbing the energy before sealing the practice. 108 is an auspicious number and OM is an auspicious sound. It’s a practice started by our beloved Yoga for Peace founder, and he FaceTimed at the end of the final class at our original location to celebrate the end of an era. I hope you’ll join us Sunday as we usher in a new era with this auspicious practice in our new and auspicious space. Namaste 🙏
