1. Your hair feels greasy or weighed down.
Your shampoo or conditioner is probably too heavy for your hair. If you have fine hair, look for products that say “for fine hair” or “volumizing.”

2. Your hair always feels dry or brittle.
Your hair probably needs more moisture. Try a leave-in conditioner and a more hydrating conditioner. If you have fine hair, also check your labels for ingredients like hydrolyzed keratin or hydrolyzed wheat protein. Protein isn’t bad, but too much can make fine hair feel stiff and dry.

3. Your color fades too fast.
Your routine could be the reason. Use a sulfate-free shampoo, skip the hot water, and if you can, wash just 2–3 times a week.

If you’re trying to grow your hair out, use heat protectant. Keep your hair moisturized. Sleep in a bonnet or on a silk pillowcase. Stay on top of regular trims every 3-6 months, depending on how much heat and chemical processing your hair sees.

A trim isn’t making your hair grow faster. It can help prevent split ends from breaking farther up the hair shaft and costing you your length.
