Behind the scenes: I started 30 minutes late because a few liters of water decided to make a run for it across the floor. Turns out, my 2-year-old had taken apart the filter underneath the other day while I was setting up my new space. I thought, “He can’t do any harm.” The filter would like a word.

I’ve been learning more about how children develop communication because my own son is 2 and just beginning to speak. It’s helped me see that communication starts long before a child says their first word.
Here’s a simple look at how it can grow:
1–6 months: Babies communicate through sounds, facial expressions, eye contact, and back-and-forth interaction.
6–12 months: Babbling, copying sounds, gestures, and taking turns making sounds become important ways to connect.
12–18 months: Children may start using words, gestures, or sounds to ask for things, show interest, or share what they notice.
18–24 months: Some children begin putting words together, such as “more milk.” My son is 2 and just beginning to speak, so I’m learning that every child’s path looks different.
2–3 years: Children keep building vocabulary and may start using longer phrases, following simple directions, and taking turns in conversation.
3–4 years: Communication may include asking and answering questions, describing things, and talking about an experience.
I’m excited to have experts visit some of our toddler classes to share more about speech and language development with families. I want caregivers to have welcoming opportunities to learn, ask questions, and better understand the many ways children communicate.
These are general developmental examples, not a checklist for comparing children. Every child develops at their own pace. If you have concerns, your pediatrician or a speech-language pathologist can help you understand what support may be right for your child.

Your body doesn’t have to wait until it’s asking loudly for care.
A massage can be a chance to slow down, soften your shoulders, and reconnect with how you’re feeling. Each session is tailored to you, with thoughtful techniques and tools chosen for your needs that day.
Make room for a little care. Book your session through the link in my bio.
Welcome 🌿

Some days, you spend so much time caring for everyone else that your own body stays tense long after the day is over. Your jaw may be tight, your shoulders lifted, and your mind still running through the next thing on your list.
A Head Spa offers a chance to pause. Warm water, gentle scalp massage, and focused work around the head, neck, and shoulders create a soothing sensory experience that can help you unwind and ease everyday tension.
For a little while, you can let the noise settle and simply receive care. Leave feeling more relaxed, grounded, and ready to return to your day.
Sometimes what you need most is a moment to let your shoulders drop, quiet the noise, and feel cared for.
My head spa combines warm-water hydrotherapy, a deep scalp massage, focused neck work, and a cooling face mask to create a calming reset for your head, neck, and jaw. It may also offer soothing support when tension, migraine discomfort, or TMJ concerns are weighing on you.
You’re not just booking a service. You’re making room to feel more relaxed, refreshed, and like yourself again.
Message me to book your head spa.

Who are the classes for?
Classes are designed for babies and children from birth through age 4. Each group is planned around children’s ages and developmental stages.
Which class should my child join?
- The Nest: 0–5 months
- Little Sprouts: 6–12 months
- Tiny Trekkers: 12–24 months
- Mini Movers: 2–3 years
- Little Leapers: 3–4 years
If you’re unsure which group fits your child, send me a message and I’ll help you choose.
Does a caregiver need to stay?
Yes. These are caregiver-assisted classes, so a parent or other responsible adult stays and participates with the child.
What happens during class?
Activities vary by age group and may include movement, music, sensory play, tummy time, baby massage, soft climbing, balance activities, and simple obstacle courses. The Nest also allows time for feeding, cuddling, and your baby’s needs.
How long is each class?
Classes are about 45 minutes.
How long is the program?
The session runs for six weeks, beginning the week of October 11 and ending the week before Thanksgiving.
How much does it cost?
The six-week package is $75 per child, or $12.50 per class.
Where are classes held?
Classes are held at Hot Yoga Williamsport.
What should we wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothes that let you and your child move easily. Bring anything your child may need during class, such as a diaper bag, water, or a change of clothes. For The Nest, bring your usual feeding and baby-care supplies.
What if my child needs a break, snack, or diaper change?
That’s completely okay. Take the time you need, and rejoin the group whenever you’re ready.
Can I bring a sibling?
Classes are grouped by age and developmental stage. If you’d like siblings in different age groups to attend together, please message me so we can talk about what would work best.
What if my child is shy or takes time to warm up?
Every child is welcome to participate at their own pace. You can stay close, observe, and join activities when your child feels ready.
