✨LOCAL VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: AMALGAMATED SOPE COMPANY✨ Meet Jen & David Elden, the husband-and-wife team behind Whitefish’s premier soap and salve brand, Amalgamated Sope Company 💛 What started 20 years ago as Jen making soap for holiday gifts grew into a beloved brand rooted in simple, almost-edible and local ingredients—no unpronounceables, ever. From farmers markets to local shelves (we were one of the first!) to national distribution, SOPE stays true to its values: organic, sustainable ingredients, and a whole lot of Montana love. Calendula, comfrey, and wild-harvested arnica all come straight from their garden and foothills nearby 🌿 Like most good things, the business has been a journey of learning as they go—often guided by a favorite Elden saying: “When you’re finished with a project, you’re ready to start the project." Thirteen years ago, their family grew with the arrival of their son, and since then, family has remained at the heart of everything they do. Alongside Sope, Jen continues to expand her personal and professional path through her massage practice upstairs from Third Street at Whitefish Massage Therapy, her work with Apanii Yoga, and her love of cooking incredible meals with locally grown ingredients.
