There’s an incredible opportunity waiting for you this month. ✨
After years of trying to control my melasma, these are the things I would prioritize from day one:
1. Look beyond the skin.
Review blood work, including key vitamins, minerals, and hormones. Don’t just ask, “Is it in range?” look at the bigger picture with a qualified professional.
2. Prioritize nutrition.
Build an anti-inflammatory, nutrient-dense way of eating. Your skin is connected to your overall health.
3. Choose guidance wisely.
Work with someone who truly understands melasma and its journey, not random advice or influencers promoting the next “miracle” cream.
4. Be careful with aggressive treatments.
I would be much more cautious with lasers, harsh acids, and strong chemical peels—especially when the skin is already irritated or sensitive.
5. Remember: less is more.
You don’t need a 10-step routine. Focus on a healthy, resilient skin barrier and simple, intentional skincare.
6. Manage stress.
Stress is part of the bigger picture. Create habits that help your nervous system and overall well-being.
7. Take care of your whole self.
Your skin is part of your body, not separate from it. Nutrition, sleep, movement, emotions, and daily habits all matter.
Want to know where to start?
I created my Melasma First Steps Roadmap to help you understand the foundations and what to prioritize first.

If you have melasma and feel like you’ve tried everything… but you’re still not seeing the improvement you want, this is for you.
Maybe your melasma isn’t “stubborn.”
Maybe you’re simply missing a few important pieces of the puzzle. 👀
You may be using good skincare, wearing SPF, avoiding the sun, trying treatments, or constantly adding new products and still feel like you’re stuck in the same cycle.
It can be incredibly frustrating when your skin improves for a while… and then the pigmentation comes right back.
But what if instead of asking:
“What else can I put on my skin?”
you started asking:
“What could be keeping my melasma active in the first place?”
Melasma is complex and multifactorial. Understanding your skin means looking beyond the pigmentation you see in the mirror and considering the bigger picture, including your daily habits, skin barrier, environment, lifestyle, and other factors that may influence your skin.
✨ The goal isn’t to do MORE. It’s to understand what your skin actually needs.
If you’re feeling stuck and want to learn the first steps you can take to start approaching your melasma from a different perspective, I created something for you.
