🌼 Why Calendula? | From My Hands

Those golden petals belong on an old-world apothecary shelf. 🐝

Calendula is a botanical I’m drawn to for its sunny color, delicate petals, and long history in traditional craft. Choosing an ingredient is only the beginning—the care comes through in how it’s prepared.

For oil infusions, that means fully dried flowers, clean tools, and attention to the little details.

🌿 A little botanical wisdom: Calendula officinalis, also called pot marigold, is different from common garden marigolds. Botanical names help us know exactly what we’re working with.

My Calendula Tallow Cream is handcrafted in small batches, inspired by old-world traditions and the belief that caring for our skin doesn’t need to be complicated.

Golden calendula blossoms, nourishing tallow, and the beauty of botanical ingredients come together in something made slowly, thoughtfully, and with love.

Every jar represents what The Hearth & Provision is all about: returning to simpler ways, honoring traditional craftsmanship, and creating something meaningful with my own two hands.
