Helping the Cleveland area become hair free!⚡️

09/06/2026

We’re looking for participants for an anonymous research survey on the psychological and personal impact of electrolysis.

This research is being conducted through the Electrology Education Coalition (E2C) and will help inform our upcoming WPATH research presentation, as well as broader research into the impact of electrolysis for gender-affirming care, PMOSPCOS, hirsutism, hormonally influenced hair growth, and other reasons people seek permanent hair removal.

If you are an electrolysis client:
We would love for you to complete the survey and share your experience. The survey is completely anonymous and is open to anyone who has received electrolysis, regardless of the reason for treatment.

If you are an electrologist:
Please consider sharing this survey link with your clientele. We are hoping to gather responses from a broad range of electrolysis clients and treatment experiences.

The survey explores areas such as confidence, emotional well-being, social comfort, daily life, and the overall personal impact of electrolysis.

Anonymous survey:

Please feel free to share the survey link with others who may be eligible to participate. The more diverse the responses, the better we can understand and document the broader impact of electrolysis.

If you’ve ever wondered why an over-plucked eyebrow may never return, while a chin hair seems to multiply overnight, you’re not imagining it!

So why does eyebrow hair behave differently than chin hairs? 🤔

Eyebrow hairs are generally less sensitive to hormones and have a much shorter growth cycle. Over years of repeated tweezing, waxing, or threading, some eyebrow follicles can become permanently damaged and stop producing hair altogether.

Why does chin hairs keep showing up?🤔

Chin and facial hairs are a different story. These follicles are often androgen-sensitive, meaning they respond to hormones such as testosterone and DHT. As we age, experience hormonal fluctuations, or go through menopause, dormant facial follicles can become activated.

This doesn’t mean plucking one hair magically creates six more. However, when you remove a hair by pulling from the root (plucking, threading or waxing) your body thinks there is trauma. Blood rushes to the area and can stimulate neighboring dormant follicles to produce MORE hair 😳

Where Electrolysis comes in ⚡️

Unlike tweezing, waxing, or threading, electrolysis treats the follicle itself. It is the only FDA-recognized method of permanent hair removal and can effectively treat both active and hormonally stimulated hairs over time.

✔️ Safe for all skin tones
✔️ Works on all hair colors
✔️ Treats individual hairs at the source
✔️ Provides permanent results when the growth cycle is fully treated

The Key to Success:

Hormones can continue to activate new follicles throughout life, especially on the face. That’s why consistency is so important. Electrolysis permanently eliminates the hairs that are treated in the anagen stage (active growing stage) ongoing appointments allow newly emerging hairs to be addressed as they appear.

Moral of the story:
Your eyebrow hair retired in the ’90s. Your chin hair started a social club. 😆

✨ Ready to stop the reunion before more friends show up? Electrolysis offers a permanent solution.

CLE ELECTROLOGY – Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy:

Appointment time is reserved exclusively for each client. Because electrolysis treatments are time-sensitive and appointment availability is limited, we kindly ask that all clients respect scheduled treatment times so we can provide the best possible service to everyone.

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellation or rescheduling.

Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $25 rescheduling fee that must be paid prior to booking a future appointment.

Clients who do not show for their scheduled appointment without notice (“no-shows”) will be charged 100% of the missed appointment fee, which will be added to their next visit balance and must be paid before future appointments can be scheduled.

Late cancellations and no-shows prevent other clients from accessing available treatment times and impact our ability to accommodate everyone efficiently. Every appointment slot is important, and honoring scheduled times helps us stay on schedule and provide consistent care for all clients.

Thank you for understanding and respecting our time, as we respect yours. We appreciate your support and cooperation.
