When my guest is looking to take a lot of length off I always cut first so I don’t waste color! I used

I used dia color 4.62 with 9 volume. I applied to her roots first and then her mids/ends. I always start the mids/ends application from the bottom up ⬆️ this way I can apply quick - no clips & avoid tangles.

Finished of course with the airlight pro!

When I’m riding solo at work aka with no assistant I always grab for my GRIP CLIPS 😂 it helps me move super fast without any help.

The clips have little brush like top so you can easily place the section of hair into it and leave it. I always clip it on the opposite side of the head so I don’t need to move the clip.

Anyways, for her color I kept her face frame out of the lowlights. Everyone (mostly) wants to feel a little brighter around their face. I did horizontal sections. Within those sections, I did deep weaves for maximum coverage/impact.

I use blond studio no bleach lightening cream for her French highlights. I started with 30volume & worked my way up to 40 volume. It’s designed for only 4 levels of lift. It’s gentle on the hair too!

I root shadowed with dia light 8N with 6 Volume. Let that process for 10 minutes. Her all over gloss with Dia light 10.32 with 9 volume .

We didn’t want super lived in rooted look/ we wanted timeless but low maintenance.

I did horizontal baby fine waves all the way up to the part. All the hair in between those horizontal foils, I teased weave and over directed for a bold impact on her

I always add gold into my formulas when I’m darkening a blonde - it helps avoid the blonde from being too flat or dull. I will also go up a level then their natural - because the blonde hair is porous.

The only time I pay on a vertical is when I’m working on the hairline.

I mostly paint on the horizontal because it’s easier to touch up at future appointments. Within that horizontal section, I create shapes and paint on top of those. The reason why I do this is so I don’t over paint and I have depth and dimension that sit under and around it.

I hand painted balayage with blond studio eight and 40 volume. I like my ratio half scoop to 1 ounce of developer.

All over gloss with dia light 9.02 and 9 volume

Balayage is so natural looking and low maintenance. It’s less aggressive on the hair because it processes open air.
