Rock Steady Boxing Central Mass

Today, we celebrate RSB Central Mass’ 9th anniversary 🥊. I still remember starting this program with 3 boxers with Parkinson’s Disease back in 2017. My mission for this program was to help as many people as I could with Parkinson’s fight back against the progression of the disease with the goal of keeping their highest quality of life for as long as possible. Little did I know that I would be able to help hundreds of people with PD through our 9 years running and that these people would become my extended family and friends. I also didn’t know how many unbelievably generous, kind and caring humans would come into my life as volunteer coaches for our program and that these people would dedicate their time and efforts into helping our boxers in any way they can.
It all started with my love of boxing and my desire to help people through exercise and rehab science. I believe in the power of exercise and it truly is the BEST medicine for someone with Parkinson’s. I had no idea 9 years ago that this program would become the most rewarding experience of my life.
I want to extend a “thank you” to every one of my boxers, past and present, for all of your fight, grit, humor, love, compassion, and determination that you display in the gym on a daily basis. Thank you to all of my volunteer coaches through the years who have helped us all through good times and bad, happy and sad and are always there to support me and our boxers in any way needed. Thank you to all of our boxers’ support people (spouses, family members, friends) who drove their loved ones to our gym, helped them get through the program, and stood by their side in their corner everyday of their fight. Lastly, for all of our boxers who have ultimately lost their battle and are now at rest, your fighting spirits will forever be in our gym inspiring us and guiding us.
WE ARE ROCK STEADY 🥊❤️🥊
