On average, it’s normal to shed about 50 to 100 hairs each day. If you don’t wash daily, those loose hairs can build up, so you may see several days’ worth at once on wash day.
Instead of counting every hair, pay attention to changes in your usual pattern. A hair catcher in your drain can help. Also remember that long or thick hair can make shedding look like more than it really is.
