NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- You might be seeing a lot of pink in Nashville this week.
Upwards of 5,000 Mary Kay Inc. sales representatives are in Nashville until January 21 for a leadership conference. It is one of the largest events in the first quarter of the year for Nashville, and is expected to generate a lot of money for the city.
The global cosmetic giant reports the conference will generate nearly $7 million dollars for Nashville, and generated more than $575,000 in local tax revenues.. Also, attendees have rented approximately 6,700 hotel room nights.
Ryan Rogers, the grandson of Mary Kay's co-founder, who became CEO on January 1, is in attendance.
“We’re thrilled to kick off 2023 in Music City,” said Rogers, who previously served as a member of the company’s board of directors and as Chief Investment Officer. “Our U.S. Leadership Conference brings Mary Kay Independent Sales Directors and Mary Kay Independent National Sales Directors together for action-packed sessions to support their growth as leaders. I can’t think of a better way to honor my grandmother and to start our 60th anniversary year as a company.”
Mary Kay last held their conference in Nashville in 2015.
