Had a fun opportunity to set up a chair event! So fun getting to chat with people about body work.
▫️What is chair massage? ▫️
Chair massage (or Seated Massage) is a fully clothed massage modality. Usually a short session performed in an ergonomic and adjustable massage chair; often targeting the neck, shoulders, back, and arms with compression techniques. Can be more involved including legs, and/or stretching as well.

What is a Sports Massage?
This can mean something slightly different depending on who you ask, honestly. There are many different styles and modalities to be used, as well as differences in client needs.
Each of my sessions is customized with a client depending on their activity levels and body needs.
Overall in my practice, sports massage is a way for me to categorize a more dynamic session for an individual who has an active lifestyle. We’ll use lots of movement throughout the session, pin & stretch, compression, and probably deep tissue techniques.
The goal is to work with your body in a way that promotes more than just relaxation. Helping the muscles recover from either new or strenuous activity. Enabling them to continue working hard for you.
Whether you’re a college athlete, or a parent lifting in the basement after bedtime, a sports massage can be a great way to support your goals and keep you moving the way you want.
(If you wanna know a secret, these sessions are some of my favorites because I get to be a part of someone’s long term journey)
