Have you been to Spence Cafe? This is right on High Street which is just the other side of the block County Seat is on. It’s one of the longest running businesses in West Chester (same😄) DO YOU KNOW WHY??? Because everyone loves it. Spence has graced many different locations through the years showing the determination of the chef. This is a local family business which has inspired the kids now. Professionally trained in their passion for culinary, you don’t want to miss this shining star. Here’s last Thursday’s menu—it changes weekly. Book a table now and be ready to meet your friends you haven’t caught up with for a while or- do a date with your family during the holidays. Book ahead and relish the time you have with loved ones because after all, that’s really what’s important. Try to do less disposable “token” holiday gifts this year and just get a bunch of gift certificates to this place. Everyone will love you for it.

🍁The Chili Cook Off is pretty fun. You pay to get a wristband and get to try many varieties of chili. That event is a nice fall day for us but also benefits dozens of local nonprofits and food pantries across the region, providing access to millions of pounds of food for individuals and families facing food insecurity. It’s a win/win!

As you get ready to enjoy the event, here is some important parking and road closure information to help you plan your visit.
Several roads throughout downtown West Chester will be closed for the event. Please note that the roads will be closed from 6:00AM - 9:00PM on the day of the festival (09/20/2026)
All Borough lots, kiosks, and garages will charge a special event rate of $20 for all-day parking.
