The Woman Behind Lemon Ivory Beauty

I grew up loving beauty. Makeup, hair, jewelry it lit something up in me from the time I was a little girl. But I was raised in a religion where those things were not allowed and women were not encouraged to build careers of their own. So I did what I was taught. I got married and had children.

But somewhere along the way, I decided I didn’t need someone else’s permission to chase what I loved.

One birthday. I made a decision that I was never again going to let fear or someone else’s beliefs determine what my life looked like. I enrolled in school as a full-time mom, built Lemon Ivory Beauty from the ground up, and showed up every single day to make it happen.

My children are part of the reason I push. I want them to see that it is never too late. That your dreams do not have an expiration date. That the only thing standing between you and the life you want is your every day decisions and the belief you can accomplish anything.

When I am with a bride on her wedding morning I bring all of that with me. The understanding of what it means to finally feel like yourself. The joy of beauty that was once out of reach. The belief that every woman deserves to feel stunning, seen, and celebrated.
