The Fruit Pantry

For those who are seeing all these sites talking about berries causing a food borne illness. What they are failing to tell you in the headlines (many people only read headlines) is that it is frozen berries that are of concern NOT fresh berries.

Also, many people (due to headlines) are now thinking avocados have been added to the do not eat list. This is not true. Avocados are safe to eat. The avocado talk has nothing to do with the illness and everything to do with not being able to get them and pricing about to spike. This is due to US inspections halting all inspections because of a threat made by the cartel. So, if you have avocados, keep enjoying them.

Is your fruit provider keeping you updated on the cyclospora and ecoli outbreak? We do! Anything that effects fruit, we are on it and passing the information onto our clients.

Also, I see many people concerned about the blueberry ecoli outbreak. This is not fresh blueberries, it is your frozen blueberries at this time.
