I’ve struggled with getting my hair to actually get LONG for the longest time 😂

I’ve tried pretty much every hair-growth tip you can think of (and I’m a hairstylist lol)

These aren’t some magical secrets, but they’ve made a HUGE difference for me when it comes to keeping my hair longer + healthier:
✨ loose braid or silk/satin pillowcase at night
✨ gentle brushing, especially when my hair is wet
✨ heat protectant EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
✨ keeping my scalp clean + healthy
✨ giving the super tight ponytails a break 😂
✨ sticking with my haircare instead of constantly switching products

That’s literally it.

Not a 27-step routine or miracle product…

Just a few things that I can actually stay consistent with.

If the front of your hair is fading within a week, READ THIS 👇

As a hairstylist, this is something I hear ALL the time!

💭 “I swear my color was perfect when I left!”

The reality is that your front pieces can fade faster than the rest of your hair for SO many different reasons.

Things like skincare, heat, washing, the sun, and our hands can all play a part.

If you want to keep them looking fresh:
➡️ use color-safe shampoo + conditioner Aluram Pro or Shibui
➡️ wash with cooler water
➡️ keep skincare off your hair as much as possible
➡️ use heat protectant every time you style
➡️ protect your hair from the sun

Pro tip: Look at the ingredients in your skincare; some of these can actually lighten your hairline if you’re not careful 😬

Little changes like these can help your color stay fresh for longer between appointments 🤎

But if it’s time for a retouch, I usually recommend refreshing your color every 6–8 weeks depending on your color and hair goals!

Don’t wait until it’s completely faded out!
