🦋 Ten years ago, TODAY... my daughter “Smiley” “Nana” was ripped away from us, and I am still fueled by pure, disappointment. She was taken because she was loyal to a pathetic person who never deserved her for a single second. I still hear his voice from jail, and the fact that he felt NO REMORSE for destroying her life makes my blood boil. It is a constant, suffocating nightmare that he robbed her of the chance to be the mother her princess deserved.

Do not dare treat domestic violence like a game. It is a death sentence, and it’s sickening how many people ignore the warning signs. Wake the heck up! If you think it’s “just an argument,” you’re blind—VERBAL ABUSE is the foundation of this hell, and it is the primary indicator that you are in a volatile, dangerous situation. This isn't just “toxic”; it is domestic violence, plain and simple. Don’t wait until the marks, or worse, gone. Stop making excuses and get out before you become another tragic statistic.

If my daughter could go back, she would. We are grieving together, and I know Smiley would want us to focus on the good times, the laughter and creating precious moments with her Princess. ❤️ 🍗 🆙 🌍 🦋 🦋 🦋

🦋 😭 Ten years ago today, we gathered at a candlelight vigil in Riggs Park, Washington, D.C., to honor my daughter’s memory. I remain deeply grateful to her friends and the Riggs Park community for their unwavering support during that period of profound disbelief and grief. My daughter’s life was senselessly taken by her partner—an act he later confessed to me directly. She had hoped to find a loving, reciprocal relationship, but instead suffered a betrayal that harmed both her and their daughter.

Domestic violence must never be underestimated. It is not limited to physical harm; it encompasses verbal abuse, belittling behavior, emotional isolation, and a disregard for one’s concerns. These actions define a cycle of abuse that is profoundly savage. I urge anyone experiencing these warning signs to seek professional assistance BEFORE THE MARKS (situation escalates to physical violence).

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has offered prayers, support, and comfort to my family throughout these past ten years.

💔 ❤️ Today marks ten long, hollow years since that tragic day (7-30-2016). It was the day he took my daughter’s life, shooting her in the head while she cradled her two-month-old baby in her arms. Seeing Princess covered in her mother’s blood remains a pain I cannot put into words; she was so small, so innocent, and so deeply loved.

He was consumed by his own selfishness and ignorance. My daughter was prepared to breastfeed--nourish her child—he heartlessly didn't understand that his daughter's food had been snatched from her. My first thought, a thought that shredded what was left of my heart, was how the baby would eat now that her mother was gone.

These tweets are the day before he murdered her, she had tweeted about the joy of motherhood. She was so happy, so ready to sacrifice everything to give her little Princess the life she deserved. She was prepared to nurture her daughter, unlike him. He didn’t care; he never wanted a child, and he allowed his own innocent daughter to go cps a place no parent wants their child to go, he did this without a second thought. But don't worry, Smiley. You have a family that loves your daughter deeply, and we will care for her just as you would have done.

She was conflicted about her relationship, hoping he would become the person he lied about being. I wish she had ran and never looked back. He never deserved my daughter or a daughter by her.

This young girl is now faced with the challenge of growing up at the graveyard. Even though she has family who loves her deeply this is still Princess story💔.
