💋Not every lip needs volume.

Nicole came in with beautiful lips already, so this was icing on the cake. Irina used RHA Redensity, the thinnest filler in the collection. It is not there to add size. It holds water in the lip, so the lips look hydrated and healthy and catch the light. If your lips need more volume, she would use a thicker product like RHA 2 or RHA 3.

A few things worth watching for:

💞Irina does not want her patients in pain. After topical numbing, she injects a dental block using lidocaine buffered with bicarb so it does not sting, and she goes from the outside rather than through the gums the way a dentist does. Nicole's upper lip went almost completely numb and she felt nothing.

💉The injection technique here is the Julie Horne approach, though Irina does not stick to just one. She customizes the technique based on what your lips need.

Nicole has had filler migration in the past, so Irina stayed off her vermilion border and worked the body of the upper lip instead. Less border work, less risk of it coming back. Most patients never think to ask about this part, and it matters.

💫Afterward: Alastin anti-bruising cream right on the lips, then Ourself Replenishing Lip Filler, finished with the Ourself lip conditioner gloss.

If Nicole reapplies the Replenishing Lip Filler at home twice a day, her lips will keep plumping over the next month. Some patients get close to another half syringe of volume from the topical alone.
