Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of lashing SO many moms. I’ve always tried my best to be understanding and accommodating — whether that meant working around schedules, allowing kids when needed, being flexible with cancellations, or simply going out of my way because I understand that life happens.

But now that I’m a mom myself, I have a completely different appreciation for how valuable time really is.

I only took two weeks off after having my baby, and 10 of those days were spent with her in the NICU. Even during that time, I was still receiving lash texts — and that’s totally okay! I love my clients and I understand that everyone has their own schedules and lives to manage. But becoming a mom has made me realize how important it is for clients to remember that your service providers are human too.

When I schedule an appointment, I’m not just blocking off a spot on a calendar. I’m arranging childcare, planning around my baby, and setting aside time that I could be spending with my family specifically for YOU. The same goes for so many other moms and service providers in this industry.

Of course sickness happens. Emergencies happen. Kids get sick. Life is unpredictable, and I will always have compassion for those situations.

But poor planning, repeated last-minute cancellations, no-shows, or simply not respecting someone’s time is different.

Paying for a service doesn’t make someone’s time less valuable. We appreciate your business more than you know, but we are still people with families, responsibilities, bills, and lives outside of work.

So whether you’re booking with me or another service provider, please be mindful of the time and effort that goes into being there for your appointment. 🤍

I’ve spent years trying to accommodate everyone else, and becoming a mom has taught me that it’s okay to protect my time too. I will always do my best for my clients — I just ask for the same consideration in return. 🫶🏼
