You can read more about both below. About Aquilla Quail: Coturnix quail aka Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica) are excellent birds for both eggs and meat production. They originate from East Asia. One hen will lay around 300 eggs per year and they average between 5-10 oz of meat per bird. Here are a few fun facts about quail eggs- It takes 3 quail eggs to equal 1 chicken egg. Quail eggs taste very similar to chicken eggs but have more yoke to white ratio giving it a slightly richer taste. 60% of the fat in quail eggs is made up of good fats (monounsaturated and polyunsaturated) and can positively affect cholesterol levels. Quail eggs are also higher than chicken eggs in calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, manganese, selenium, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, B12 (based on weight). About PURPOSE: Every good product starts with a need being met and PURPOSE far surpassed that need. It started as a skin care line which focused on no toxins, chemicals or unnatural preservatives and has grown into a clean living brand ranging from our skin care to electrolytes, anti-inflammatory and immunity boosting drinks to products to keep your home and even pets healthy. It all started with the Tallow Balm face moisturizer and now we have several products to help you reach your clean living goals. The full story behind how PURPOSE came to be: The idea and dream for PURPOSE was an answered prayer. Personally, I needed purpose and direction in my life. I needed fulfillment but all I had was a passion for health, a hobby gardening and a still small but growing faith. In the summer of 2022, while riding a young horse in training, I started having tightness in my chest. Nothing like a heart attach or anything, I was only 30 and healthy so I thought, but still my body was try to tell me something. The next day my chest hurt so bad it hurt to breath, move, lay down but on top of that now my right hip was in excruciating pain and my left ring finger was so swollen I couldn't get my rings off... What was happening to me?! I was thinking, "I ran track in college, I'm physically fit, very active lifestyle and eat mostly healthy, how could something like this be happening to me?" This was the first step in motion to getting me on the path of health. I went to so many doctors, specialist, pt's and spent so much money on what felt like nothing since the problems stuck around for 6 months. Finally, my own research payed off. I had tindenitas in my hip and finger and costochondritis in my chest (which is inflammation of the cartilage connecting your ribs to your sternum). The root cause- internal inflammation which almost 35% of adults suffer from most of which have no idea and are just living in pain. After jumping through all the medical hoops I knew there had to be a different more natural way to combat inflammation. So the anti-inflammatory and immunity boosting drinks were born. Soon after that my research led me to making the electrolytes because I had cut out sugars, dyes and preservative as part of my inflammation journey and knowing how crucial hydration is I needed an alternative to store bought sports drinks. After that diet shift came another big one, cutting out any hidden chemicals like pesticides and preservatives sprayed on our produce so my hobby of organic gardening was now turning into a necessity. Between 12-18 months from initially getting hurt I finally started feeling better. I had cut out processed foods and all wheat, limited sugar intake to 6g a day (which is insanely difficult but worth it!), no dyes, chemical or preservatives, eating organic produce and eggs, drinking my anti-inflammatory and immunity boosting drinks daily along with lots of water and electrolytes to stay hydrated, and started incorporating daily stretching and yoga which helped tremendously. I had finally grasped what caused my initial ailment and how to keep it under control plus I now had so much knowledge about health and wellness that I wanted to continue to grow and use. Little did I know it would continue to grow into my true purpose in life. While I was riding the waves of these ups and downs prayers were flowing. "What if I could never ride horses again or work the ranch because of pain, what would I do then? God please give me a direction for my life, light my path, give me a dream, a goal, a passion, a purpose." My pain was the need. That need led me to knowledge, that knowledge led me to action, action led me to my purpose of creating products to keep me and my family healthy from the inside out. I realized it was more than just a few drinks or skin care it was the reason for which I was created. To help guide others with their health and faith because everyone has a purpose. Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
