✨ If These Bowls Could Talk… ✨

As I look back over the last 20 years, I can’t help but think — if these
bowls could talk, oh the stories they’d tell!

I got my cosmetology license in September 1989, full of excitement and big hair dreams. I worked for some amazing salons in Dallas, soaking up all the creativity I could. When I moved back home to Waco in 1994, I joined Headshapers in the Lake Air Mall, then Stylus & Co. — and it was there I bought these four little white (okay, off-white now) color bowls.

They’ve been with me ever since — through thousands of color formulas, endless transformations, and more laughter and tears than I could ever count.

Then, 20 years ago this Valentine’s Day, Salon DaDa became a reality. ❤️

What a journey it’s been — filled with creativity, collaboration, friendship, and so much JOY. I am endlessly grateful for every single one of you who’s sat in my chair — for the trust, the stories, the conversations, and the magic we’ve created together.

Every color, every single highlight, every haircut, every honest talk about life — all of it has taught me something new and enriched my life beautifully. About resilience. About imagination. About kindness, presence, and connection.

Because hairdressing isn’t just about results — it’s about PEOPLE. It’s about creating a space where someone feels seen, cared for, and renewed. Find your TRIBE and LOVE them HARD!!!

So here’s to 20 years of Salon DaDa — to the friendships, the laughter, the memories, and the color that continues to fill my life (and my bowls 😄).

WOW….has it really been 18 years??? SALON DADA turns 18 this year and I am incredibly GRATEFUL & BLESSED beyond measure to be carried here by such an AMAZING TRIBE of folks….. THANK YOU ALL❤️
