When men hear “testosterone,” they usually think about strength, energy, performance and their own health. But testosterone is part of women’s health too.

As women age and transition through menopause, hormonal changes may affect sleep, mood, energy, concentration, s*xual health and overall well-being. For some women experiencing persistent, distressing low s*xual desire, testosterone may be considered after other possible causes have been evaluated.

This is not only a women’s conversation. Understanding these changes can help men better support their partners and the other important women in their lives—with patience, empathy and open communication.

Today, the FDA is hosting a public workshop to examine the current evidence, unanswered questions and research still needed regarding testosterone use in menopausal women.

Testosterone Therapy for Men: When Is the Right Time?

Testosterone naturally changes throughout a man’s life, and levels often decline gradually with age. But getting older alone doesn’t necessarily mean you need testosterone replacement therapy (TRT).

The right time to consider testosterone therapy is when symptoms and laboratory findings point in the same direction.

Men with low testosterone may experience changes such as persistent fatigue, decreased s*xual desire, erectile difficulties, reduced muscle mass or strength, changes in body composition, or difficulty maintaining their usual sense of well-being. However, these symptoms can have many different causes, which is why testosterone therapy shouldn’t begin based on symptoms alone.

A proper evaluation typically includes a conversation about your symptoms and medical history, along with appropriately timed testosterone blood testing. If testosterone is consistently low and the symptoms are compatible with testosterone deficiency, your provider can determine whether TRT may be appropriate and discuss its potential benefits, risks, and alternatives.

TRT also requires ongoing medical monitoring. Testosterone levels, blood counts, prostate-related considerations, cardiovascular risk factors, fertility goals, and your response to treatment may all need to be considered depending on your individual situation.

The goal isn’t simply to raise a number on a lab report. It’s to understand why you’re experiencing changes and determine whether testosterone therapy is actually the right treatment for you.

At Climax Aesthetic Surgery, Dr. Akin Ojo-Carons provides individualized men’s wellness evaluations to help patients better understand their hormone health and treatment options.

If you’ve noticed changes in energy, s*xual health, strength, or overall well-being, schedule a consultation to find out whether a hormone evaluation may be appropriate for you.

At Climax Aesthetic Surgery, pe**le filler consultations are designed to evaluate the individual rather than apply the same treatment plan to everyone. The amount and approach can be discussed with the physician based on your anatomy, goals, and desired outcome.

If you’re considering pe**le filler but are concerned about looking overfilled, disproportionate, or unnatural, schedule a consultation with Climax Aesthetic Surgery to discuss what a balanced result could look like for you.

After starting TRT, men may gradually notice changes in energy, mood, motivation, libido, muscle strength, body composition, and overall well-being. Results vary, and changes typically develop over time with proper medical monitoring.

Curious about what TRT could look like for you? Contact Climax Aesthetic Surgery today to schedule a consultation and explore your options.

Blood flow is the foundation of every healthy er****on.

An er****on isn’t just about desire—it’s the result of a complex process involving your brain, nerves, blood vessels, and hormones working together. When blood flow is healthy, the erectile tissue fills, expands, and stays firm. When circulation is reduced, er****ons can become weaker, less reliable, or more difficult to maintain.

Because of this, changes in er****on quality can sometimes be one of the first signs that something else is affecting your health, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hormonal imbalance, or chronic stress.

The good news? Many of these underlying causes are treatable, and improving blood flow can improve both your s*xual health and your overall well-being.

If you’ve noticed changes in your er****ons, don’t ignore them—listen to what your body may be telling you.

Hormones don’t just affect your s*x drive—they influence the entire process behind a healthy er****on.

Low testosterone or other hormone imbalances can impact your brain, your libido, your blood flow, and ultimately your ability to get and maintain an er****on. That’s why treating symptoms without understanding the cause isn’t always enough.

If you’ve been experiencing:
• Low libido
• Difficulty getting or maintaining er****ons
• Fatigue or low energy
• Mood changes
• Loss of muscle mass

…it may be time to take a closer look at your hormone health.

At Climax Aesthetic Surgery, we believe education comes first. Our comprehensive hormone evaluations help identify the root cause so we can create a treatment plan that’s personalized to you.

Feeling tired all the time? Low motivation? Difficulty building muscle despite working out? Low libido?

While these symptoms can have many causes, they may also be associated with low testosterone levels.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is not about becoming “superhuman”—it’s about restoring hormone levels when a deficiency is confirmed through proper medical evaluation and lab work.

For the right candidate, TRT may help improve energy, mood, libido, recovery, muscle maintenance, and overall quality of life.

The key is proper testing, individualized dosing, and ongoing monitoring to ensure treatment is both safe and effective.

If you’ve been feeling like you’re not operating at your best, it may be worth exploring whether your hormones are playing a role.
