It has recently come to my attention that there have been a few people around town speaking negatively about me and my business. I had hoped I wouldn’t need to address it, but when my name, reputation, and career are involved, I feel it’s important to speak for myself.

I don’t have the time or energy for unnecessary drama. I’m focused on running my business, taking care of my clients, continuing my education, and becoming better at what I do.

I have always believed there is room for ALL of us to succeed. I am not in competition with another nail tech—I am in competition with the person I was yesterday. I’ve supported other techs, answered questions, shared knowledge, helped when I could, and genuinely wanted to see others succeed. I will continue to do that for people who show the same respect for our profession.

One thing I will never compromise on, however, is client safety. Proper sanitation, disinfection, cleanliness, and safe practices should be taken just as seriously as the art we create. Beautiful nails mean nothing if we aren’t doing our part to protect the people who trust us with their hands.

So if my name is going to be part of a conversation, I simply ask that the same energy being spent discussing me be put into maintaining your own business, professionalism, education, sanitation practices, client care, and responsibilities.

I’m not claiming to be perfect. I’ve made mistakes, learned from them, taken accountability when necessary, and continued to grow. That is what being a professional means to me.

What disappoints me most is knowing that I have genuinely tried to be kind, supportive, and even a friend to some of the same people who apparently don’t extend that same respect when I’m not in the room.

There is enough room at the table for everyone. I don’t need to tear another professional down to feel successful in my own career.

If someone has a genuine issue with me, my work, or something I’ve personally done, my door is open. Talk to me—not about me.

Otherwise, I’m going to continue doing exactly what I’ve been doing: minding my business, loving my clients, improving my craft, and building something I’m proud of. 🖤💅

My work and my reputation will continue to speak for themselves. 👏
