📉 The numbers tell an important story.

The American Dental Association’s Health Policy Institute reports that the average inflation-adjusted net income for general practice dentists declined from $274,198 in 2010 to $215,320 in 2025—a decrease of nearly $60,000. The report also notes that average net income has fallen by more than $15,000 over the past two years.

According to the ADA, practice expenses have increased faster than reimbursements, creating financial pressure for many private practices. Understanding these trends helps explain many of the challenges facing dentistry today.

There may be no better way to spend a 99° Midwest summer day than brushing an ear of corn. 😂🌽

If you’re from the Midwest, you know that corn sweat is real and on this particular day, the corn wasn’t the only thing sweating.🥵

But this experiment has a serious point: our teeth aren’t flat. They have grooves, curves, and all kinds of places where plaque can hang out.
