Yesterday at Charlotte Technical College we met some of the talent that could help shape the future of this industry.

At Lenka Hair Salon, education has always been part of our culture. We believe young stylists need more than a place to work — they need mentorship, continued education, high standards, real opportunity and an environment that pushes them forward.

Colette took this blonde brighter, cleaner and beautifully polished, finishing with a glaze that gave it that almost liquid shine.

Mercedes created gorgeous dimension with beige tones and creamy highlights, then paired it with a natural, youthful haircut that feels airy, effortless, and a little undone in the best way.

I’m truly sorry the final price came as a surprise. We never want you to feel caught off guard, and we should have communicated more clearly beforehand that this appointment would involve more time, product, and foils than your previous visits.

Our color pricing reflects the amount of product, foils, time, and detail required to achieve the desired result. Since you wanted to be brighter and had more regrowth and darkness to bring back into the blonde, we used significantly more lightener and many more foils than we had during your earlier appointments.

We also finish every highlight service with a glaze. This helps create your final tone — whether creamy, sandy, icy, or beige — while adding shine, protein, hydration, and that polished, on-trend finish.

For the haircut, our pricing is based on the service itself rather than the amount of length removed, so whether we take off one inch or several, it is still considered a full haircut. My haircut pricing is also the highest in the salon. It appears that during your previous appointments with Ali, you were often charged primarily for a blow-dry, even when a haircut was included, which is why those totals were lower.

If you’d prefer, I’d be happy to connect you with one of our wonderful stylists, including Ali, whose pricing may feel more comfortable while still providing a beautiful result.

Again, I’m very sorry we didn’t set clearer expectations around the price. Most importantly, I hope you love your hair — you look beautiful, and I hope this helps clarify everything.
