I’ve been exploring the way I walk for almost 15 years—and today a handstand showed me something new.

Watching a video of myself upside down, I noticed that when I moved my legs, I was still compensating through my lower back. My pelvis wasn’t as organized and stable as I thought.

It made me ask a different question:

What happens when I’m standing and walking?

I started experimenting with bringing more awareness and pressure toward the front of my feet instead of allowing my weight to settle back into my heels.

Immediately, I felt a difference.

My legs became more involved. My pelvis felt more organized. My lower back didn’t have to do as much of the work. As one leg moved forward and the other pushed the ground behind me, I could feel the whole structure working together differently.

What fascinated me is that I’ve experimented with walking for years. Sometimes two ways of walking can look almost identical from the outside—but feel completely different inside the body.

That’s why I don’t believe movement is only about copying the correct form.

You have to feel what the movement is doing to your structure.

Where is your weight?

Where does movement begin?

What muscles are participating?

Where are you compensating?

Is your lower back doing work that could be distributed through your feet, legs and hips?

I’m continuing to experiment with this rather than presenting one universal way everyone should walk.

The body is an ongoing investigation.

Sometimes a compensation you notice in one place leads you somewhere completely unexpected.

Today, my handstand led me back to my feet.

We’ve been taught to measure progress by how much we can do.

More workouts.
More weight.
More flexibility.
More muscle.

But your body has another way of measuring progress: how it feels.

If you’re getting stronger and looking fitter, but your body is becoming more stiff, more tense, more painful, and more vulnerable to injury—is that really progress?

Maybe it’s regression disguised as fitness.

Looking fit doesn’t automatically mean the body is functioning well.

Your body has a certain capacity. You can develop it, but you can also continuously spend it—pushing, overriding signals, accumulating tension—until eventually the body begins asking you to stop.

The goal shouldn’t be to get everything you can out of your body as quickly as possible.

Preserve it. Develop it. Restore it.

Real progress is when your body becomes more capable and feels better to live in.

Less unnecessary tension.
More freedom.
Better function.
More life in the body.

Don’t just train your body.

Take care of the body that has to carry you through your entire life.

Most people don’t realize that compensation is exhausting the body every single day.

It’s like pressing the gas and the brakes at the same time.

One part of the body tries to move forward…
another part tightens, protects, and resists.

Over time:

* breathing becomes shallow,
* posture collapses,
* muscles overwork,
* joints compress,
* energy decreases,
* tension becomes “normal.”

The body was designed for balance, flow, and efficient movement — not constant internal resistance.

The good news is that the body can be reprogrammed.

From tension → to release.
From compensation → to coordination.
From survival mode → to balance.

When the body learns how to relax properly again:

* breathing improves,
* pressure decreases,
* energy returns,
* sleep improves,
* movement becomes lighter,
* quality of life changes.

Sometimes longevity is not about forcing more.

Sometimes it begins by stopping the unnecessary tension the body has been carrying for years.

Most people don’t need another workout.
They need a reset.

Modern life slowly pulls the body into tension:
forward posture, shallow breathing, mental overload, emotional pressure, endless stimulation.

And over time, the body starts carrying survival mode as a posture.

This experience is not about pushing harder.
It’s about learning how to release what your body has been unconsciously holding.

On Saturday, May 23 at Venice Beach, we’ll work through a guided 2-hour Body Reset Experience combining:
• nervous system reset
• posture restoration
• mobility & breath
• grounding & stabilization
• tension release
• conscious movement & recovery

This is not just yoga.
This is practical body reconditioning for modern life.

You’ll learn how to:

* notice where tension accumulates
* reset your state during the day
* improve posture without force
* breathe with more freedom
* reconnect to energy, clarity, and balance

The goal is not performance.
The goal is to feel human again.

If your body has been feeling:

* tight
* heavy
* overwhelmed
* disconnected
* exhausted
* compressed by stress

this experience is for you.

Most people are not lacking exercise.

They are lacking connection, structure, and awareness in their body.

You can stretch, train, go to yoga…
but if your body is working through compensations,
you keep reinforcing the same patterns.

That’s why results don’t last.

This is not about doing more.

It’s about:

* releasing what’s unnecessary
* restoring how your body moves
* building stability without tension

So your body actually supports you —
in everything you do.

Start simple.
Start daily.
Start with awareness.

If this resonates, you already know where to begin.

Most people think aging is time.

It’s not.

I was talking to a client and he said:
“In space, you age slower.”

Why?

Less gravity.

But here on Earth…
gravity is working on you all day.

Compressing your spine.
Your joints.
Your organs.

Slowly.

Quietly.

Daily.

That’s where stiffness comes from.
That’s where low energy comes from.

So what do you do?

You don’t fight gravity.
You reset it.

👉 Lift your heels
👉 Drop your body
👉 Shake your joints
👉 Let your organs move

Simple.

Do it:
Morning.
Noon.
Evening.

Or just a few times during the day.

This is not a workout.

This is daily body maintenance.

If you don’t release it…
it builds into tension.

If you do…
you stay light, mobile, alive.

We live in a time where tools are everywhere.
Massage guns, rollers, devices…

But the real question is:
Do you know how to use them for your body?

This is not just about “releasing tension.”
It’s about understanding what you’re doing.

I was working on my jaw here — not randomly,
but with awareness of how tension lives in the face,
how it connects to breathing, posture, and even your emotional state.

A tool doesn’t fix you.
Awareness does. The tool just amplifies it.

Used blindly → it’s noise.
Used consciously → it becomes therapy.

That’s the difference.

This is what I teach:
not just exercises, not just tools…
but a relationship with your body.
