🍯 LET’S TALK ABOUT MANUKA HONEY & YOUR LOCS! 🍯

Have you ever wondered why Manuka Honey is in my Twist’&’Loc pomade? 👀

Manuka Honey isn’t just honey with a fancy name! It comes from the nectar of the Manuka plant and contains naturally occurring compounds that have been studied for their antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin-conditioning properties. But here’s something I REALLY love about honey for hair care:

🍯 Honey is a natural humectant.
That means it can help attract and retain moisture. Honey is recognized in cosmetic science for its moisturizing and humectant properties, and research has found benefits related to hydration and conditioning.

🌿 Then there’s Aloe Vera, because yall know I love me some Aloe!
Aloe is another ingredient commonly used in moisturizing formulations, & it is one of the main ingredients in ALL of my products. Its polysaccharide-rich composition can help support hydration, making it a beautiful complement to honey in a hair-care formula.

👩🏾‍🔬 And then I put them together in an ANHYDROUS base.

“Anhydrous” simply means the formula is made without added water as part of the base. That gives Twist’&’Loc its rich, concentrated pomade texture while allowing those conditioning ingredients to work alongside the other herbal oils in the formula.

I’m in a variety of loc groups, & I see these types of prices so often. It makes me want to relocate so bad😅 Majority of my prices are under $100, even with a shampoo included, & people down here still contest that I have too high prices. My quality of work is so much better than what I charge, but because of the environment I try my best to be as reasonable & affordable as possible. After I return from maternity leave (in February) I do expect to increase them a bit more, but do believe if I was in Atlanta or somewhere else my prices would look just like this😭
