All Weather Architectural Aluminum

Another month, another LOOP Meeting, and another chance to connect and celebrate with our team!

This month, we welcomed new employees (Daniel Bewernitz, Juan Jimenez, John Lassiter, Jeffery Manibot, Daniel Randall, Muhammad Sherad), celebrated our wins and improvements, and recognized our outstanding employees (John Robinson - EOTM) and departments (Casement Sealing takes home the championship belt!).

We also honored two incredible milestones: 10 years of service for Scott Gingras and Maria Gonzales. A decade of dedication. We are incredibly grateful to have a team as committed and loyal as we do.

To our entire AWAA family, thank you. We couldn’t do it without you!

In celebration of manufacturing day, we opened our doors to students from Buckingham Collegiate Charter Academy for a behind-the-scenes look at how a custom window or door comes to life.

From our IGU line to inventory management, they followed the full journey: aluminum extrusion in, fabrication and assembly across the floor, and finished product loaded onto a truck headed to the customer.

What stood out most was seeing the connection click. Some of these students already use the same tools and safety practices in the classroom that our team relies on every day to keep the floor clean, efficient, and safe. Watching them see those lessons running at full scale, and hearing the thoughtful questions that followed, was the best part of the day.

Thank you to Buckingham's students and staff for spending the morning with us. We can't wait to see what this next generation of makers and builders goes on to do.

Framing the view on a ridge above a reservoir in Escondido. 🌄

This hillside residence called for precision from the ground up. Our partners at delivered a fire-resilient, steel-framed SAFE™ structural envelope with every window and door opening manufactured to tight tolerances off-site. The result was zero field adjustments when our windows and doors went in. On a site with a single switchback access road and no room for a second delivery, that kind of fit is everything.

Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and aluminum-framed windows open the home to sweeping backcountry views and rolling hills beyond the horizon. Slim sightlines keep the focus on the landscape, and durable aluminum stands up to the demands of an exposed ridge-top site.

This project is a great example of what happens when the whole team is aligned from day one. Big thanks to 4C Construction Systems, Palm Coast Design Build, and Campbell Architects for bringing this one to life.

We loved hosting the City of Vacaville's Leadership Development Class of 2026 for a tour of our manufacturing facility! 🏭

This group of rising leaders represents departments across city government: Police, Fire, Economic Development, Building & Planning, Parks & Recreation, Accounting & Finance, Public Works, and more. As part of their leadership training, they're visiting local facilities and businesses to see firsthand how what they do impacts the community they serve.

Thank you for coming out and taking the time to learn about what we do here at AWAA, it was great connecting with the people shaping the future of Vacaville. 🙌

🎉 Celebrating our newest All Weather graduates!

Our apprenticeship program just graduated another class, and we couldn't be prouder.

Huge congrats to Benny and Hayden on completing their certificates!

Benny is staying on and building his career right here with us ,and we couldn't be happier to have him. Welcome to the team for good, Benny!

Hayden is heading off to pursue the next chapter with a local union. While we'll miss him, we're grateful for the time he spent learning the ropes of manufacturing with us, and by his own account, the best part was the people he got to work alongside.

This is exactly what the apprenticeship program is about: building real skills, real relationships, and real careers, wherever they lead. Congratulations, guys. We're rooting for you both!

WIP Wednesday: The Phelps Residence, Salinas, CA

This custom residence is nearing the finish line, and it's a great showcase of how our window and door series work together on one project. The lineup here spans our Series 5000, 6000 (including a zero post corner window with 1/2" mitered glass), and 6100 windows alongside Series 7000 swing doors, 7200 pivot doors, and our Series 8100 and 8150 sliding systems, a full mix of All Weather Doors and Windows built for this coastal Salinas site.

Thank you to our dealer partner Coastal Counties Glass for including All Weather on this one, and to Medalist Construction for their work as general contractor. Projects like this are a good reminder of what's possible when dealer, GC, and manufacturer are aligned from the start.

More to come as the Phelps Residence wraps up!

A desert modern custom build is coming together in the Coachella Valley, with our Series 6100 windows going in against one of the best backdrops in the valley!

The big fixed panes frame the mountains and the fairway, the casements and awnings open up for airflow when you want it, and the thermally broken frames keep it comfortable inside. Out here the glass earns its keep.

Can't wait to see this one finished. Thanks to Randy McMurray and our partners at Dixieline for including us on the project!

Our social media manager is out sick today, but luckily our Senior Outside Territory Manager Josh Middendorp's eldest has us covered for today's post.

Thanks, Ivy!
