Yall gotta know what I went thru to be where I am today. One year ago I was in the darkest place I've ever been. I was battling depression, trauma, sadness, defeat, all the feels. I wasn't myself for months and hardly anybody noticed. But it was my job to keep showing up. No literally my job. Im a teacher. I had to show up for 160 students every day no matter how I felt. I feel like they didn't get the best of me, but I gave them everything I had. They don't know how much I needed THEM as much as they needed me. Here I am a year later, a whole lot better. Ready to give this new batch the best I have.
Whoever is listening, give yourself some time. It's gonna get harder before it gets easier. It's gonna get worse before it gets better. But in time, you will rise. You will smile again, for real for real smile, not the fake one. You will find your voice. You will find your joy. It really WILL be alright. Just keep swimming. And above all, never stop loving yourself!
