October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and my story is a fortunate one. 🎀

In May of 2018 if found a small lump in my right breast by chance really. I immediately knew it wasn’t supposed to be there. After a rush of testing and appointments we got the news that it was, in fact, Breast Cancer. I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, grade 2, HER2+ at 39 years old. I had already been struggling with multiple health issues prior to treatment but nothing could’ve prepared me for the fight. Fortunately I never felt alone and after 15 rounds of chemotherapy and a double mastectomy with reconstruction I was diagnosed CANCER FREE!! 💞 I am still receiving monthly treatments and trying to manage side effects of chemo and hormone blockers but I am blessed with a beautiful life that I will forever fight for! 💪💞
You don’t fight cancer alone. So many friends and family held me up and sat along side me through every moment of my fight. (Literally so many I couldn’t add enough pictures 🥺)
Breast Cancer effects so many women and early detection is key! Please do self exams regularly and don’t hesitate bring something to your doctors attention AT ANY AGE! 🎀🤗
