22 years ago, I took a step in my life, not knowing where it was going to take me.

I was afraid. I had just had my 3rd child, and I signed the papers to start a new journey.

A journey that has blessed me in so many ways.
A journey that has taught me many lessons.

After signing the papers, there was still so much to do—permits, licenses, cleaning, painting, and getting all the furniture ready for the salon. My children were as involved as I was. It took a few months, but we did it.

I have had the blessing of raising my three children here. I have had the blessing of being a mom and a provider, arranging my schedule so I could still be involved in my children's lives. And now, 22 years later, I have the blessing of having my grandbaby here with me too. ❤️

Nena's Hair Salon has taught me the meaning of having faith and seeing God's blessings.

Now, after 22 years, I know God knew exactly where I needed to be and the journey I needed to take to become the person I am today.

After months of getting ready, I received a phone call from a lady asking when we were going to open because she needed her hair fixed. 😊

On October 28, Nena's Hair Salon officially opened its doors.
