This month, we’re celebrating an incredible five years of Cameron at Hello.Salon! 🎉

Cameron, from the very beginning, you showed up to your interview ready to be hired—and I knew immediately that Hello was exactly where you belonged. I knew you would be an amazing addition to the team, but watching you grow into the talented, confident stylist you are today has been such a gift.

Your talent, heart, dedication, and energy have made such a meaningful impact on our team and the culture we continue to build together. You bring so much to Hello, not only through the beautiful work you create behind the chair, but through the way you show up, support others, and make this place better every day.

And I still love that we later discovered we were both from Arkansas—hello, Southern accent—and that I went to high school with your aunt! 🤣

Cameron, we are so thankful you chose Hello and beyond grateful for everything you have brought to these past five years. We love you so much and are incredibly proud of the stylist and person you’ve become. Here’s to celebrating you, your growth, and this amazing milestone! 10 years. 🤍

When I opened Hello, I think I was pretty naive. I wanted a space of my own, freedom to do what I wanted, hopefully make more money, and to take what I had learned from other salons, both what I wanted and definitely what I didn’t, and do it differently.

What I didn’t know was that Hello would almost become a beast of its own. People wanted to work here. A culture started forming. And I quickly realized being a good hairdresser wasn’t going to be enough. I had to learn how to lead people.

And I was learning while also just…living life. Raising little kids. Being a wife. Navigating COVID. Losing my business partner, rebranding, losing half our team and figuring out who Hello was going to be on the other side of it.

That season forced me to get really clear about the leader I wanted to be, the team I wanted around me and what I wanted this place to feel like. I think that is when Hello really became Hello.

Today there are ten of us, and I’m so proud of what we’ve built. I naturally lead with my heart, but I’ve learned that taking care of people also means consistency, structure and building a financially healthy business. Qnity and Candice Gliatto have been a huge part of teaching me that.

We say “your salon home,” and that really is what Hello has become. A place where we meet people where they are. Where my team has room to grow and our clients feel safe, cared for and known. We do really great hair, but the relationships are the heart of it.

Ten years has been hard, chaotic, amazing and sometimes heartbreaking. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve cried here, laughed here, changed my mind and grown up a whole lot. And somewhere along the way, I’ve gained more freedom for my family, with my husband Mike never wavering in his belief that I could pull this off.

Ten years ago, I thought I was opening a salon so I could have a place of my own. I ended up building a place that belongs to a whole lot more people than just me.

I think that might be the thing I’m most proud of. And I know 19 year old Francie would be pretty proud of 43 year old Francie too. 🤍

There’s something really powerful about stepping away from the salon for a weekend and pouring back into yourselves as leaders. 🤍

This weekend in Austin, our lead team attended The FiLL with Qnity, where we dove deep into financial literacy, leadership, salon growth, culture, conflict resolution, and the four personality archetypes that shape how we lead and communicate.

One of the biggest reminders?
Great salons are not built by accident. They’re built by leaders who are willing to keep learning, growing, and challenging themselves.

I’m incredibly grateful to be surrounded by a team that values education, self awareness, and building something bigger than just “doing hair.” Experiences like this always leave us inspired, re-energized, and full of ideas to bring back home to Hello.Salon.
