Some of you may or may not know that outside of HoneyLashBeautyCo, I’m also a salon owner. 🥹🐝
A year ago, I opened the doors to The Hive Beauty Lounge, and this weekend we officially celebrated ONE YEAR!
What started with me doing lashes at 18 has somehow turned into a lash brand, a storefront, a salon, and a team of amazing women I get to work beside. Sometimes I’m so busy thinking about what’s next that I forget to look around and realize how much has already happened.
So here’s a little life update from the girl behind HoneyLashBeautyCo — The Hive is officially ONE! 🎉

A year ago, I signed a lease for a salon with no team, no real idea what I was doing, and definitely no guarantee that any of it was going to work.
Honestly, I probably had no business doing it 😂
I just kept saving every little penny I could. Then randomly, I got a check back from my car I think I overpaid something🤣 and I remember thinking… okay, maybe this is my sign. I finally had enough for my deposit and first month’s rent and basically said, alright, we’re doing this.
When I signed that lease, it was just me. I had no idea if anyone would ever want to work with me or if I’d be doing all of this completely on my own. I just knew that once I signed my name, it was my responsibility either way.
And now, almost a year later, I have a team of five. I’ve exceeded every goal I originally set for The Hive. I’ve made friendships and connections I never would’ve had otherwise. I’ve learned A LOT, made mistakes, figured things out as I went, and somehow created something that has grown into so much more than what I pictured when I first got those keys.
I definitely didn’t have it all figured out. Honestly, I still don’t.
I just took the chance.
And I’m really glad I did.

Sometimes lashes don’t have to scream “lash extensions.”
Sometimes you want people wondering, “Wait… are those your real lashes?” And honestly, maybe they could be… but they’re not.
These are brown lashes on the darker side, giving just enough definition while keeping the overall look soft, subtle, and a little more natural than traditional black.
