It’s important that my patients understand my cancellation policy.

I require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. A day’s notice doesn’t give me enough time to offer that appointment to someone else.

As a self-employed therapist, I plan my schedule and income in advance. When an appointment is canceled at the last minute or missed, I’m still prepared and have set aside that time—but I don’t get paid for it. That’s why I have cancellation and no-show fees.

I understand that life happens. You may forget, become unwell, or have something unexpected come up. I ask that you give as much notice as possible so I have a chance to fill your appointment time.

If a cancellation fee is due, it must be paid before another appointment can be booked. It isn’t personal; it helps protect my time and livelihood.

To everyone who respects my policy—and especially those who offer to pay before I ask—thank you. I appreciate you more than you know. 🤍
