Wellness Awakened

ne's story is just a little bit different, yet, each of our paths has lead us to this place where we desire to be healthy and feel well! Whatever you path may have been, I'm glad that you have found your way here and I hope that you find the information that I share helpful. My journey into the health and wellness wasn't a straight path, that's for sure. In fact, up until about 30 years old I didn't give my health a second thought. I ate what I wanted, drank what I wanted and didn't care about nutrition. Soda was my main liquid intake, hamburger helper meals was a staple and while I did enjoy exercising, it wasn't something that I prioritized. One thing was clear, I did not treat my body as that temple that it was created to be. It wasn't until 2010 when I had my first child that I looked into what the term "organic" meant. In 2013 when I had my second child (who I call my high maintenance baby), we quickly realized that he had some food sensitivities. I'm big researcher so, I had to learn what I could about this issue and when I did, my eyes were opened to many of the issues with our food system, the products that we use as well as, american's large dependence on pharmaceuticals. I couldn't help but think, there has to be a better way. As my knowledge about these topics grew, so did my desire to share what I was learning with others. My desire on this page is to share a more holistic, natural approach to living and healing which in turn can empower you with the information that you need that can help you achieve increased health and wellness. I definitely do not claim to be an expert but I hope that by sharing my experience and journey with you, that I can encourage you along in yours. I look at wellness as an orchestra of Mind, Body, Spirit working together in harmony. I feel like many of us (even myself at times) tend to be in a state of sleep in some areas of our lives. As you learn and implement some of these ideas that are shared, my hope is that you will feel the wellness awakened inside you.
