Your brain starts working overtime filling in the blanks, reading lips, watching facial expressions and. Body language, listening for clues, hoping you understood correctly. Now imagine doing that... ALL DAY 😣
That’s my life with profound hearing loss. (I also have the worst nearsightedness)
So if you ever notice me pause before I answer, it’s not because I’m distracted. It’s not because I’m uninterested. I’m processing every word I can hear…and every word I can’t.
Most people never see that part of me. They just see a woman, a wife, homeschooling mom, hairstylist, hobby farmer, with coffee, doing hair, smiling, living life. But behind every conversation is a brain working overtime.
By God’s grace, I still get to do what I love: helping people feel beautiful, one conversation and one hairstyle at a time.
Just wanted to give you a reminder that the hardest battles are often the ones no one can see. Choose patience. Choose kindness. You never know whose world you’re stepping into. 🤍
