Acne scarring is often tethered beneath the skin — so even after great skincare and previous CO2 treatments, some scars needed a different approach.

About 6 weeks after subcision, we are already seeing softening of some of the rolling scars and improvement in overall texture. ✨

This patient had already been consistent with his skincare routine and had undergone CO2 resurfacing in the past, but we knew there were still fibrotic bands pulling the skin downward. Subcision was the next step to help release those deeper attachments and stimulate additional remodeling beneath the surface.

Healing and collagen remodeling continue for months after treatment, so this is still early progress.

Next step: adding ZO Wrinkle + Texture Repair to continue supporting collagen production, skin turnover, and overall texture improvement while we reassess over the next few months.

If someone offers you “name brand Wegovy” but it is the cheapest you have ever seen, and it arrives unlabeled to your house and no directions, do not inject yourself with it. I cannot caution people enough. Never inject something in your body that has no label on it. We are living in crazy times right now. I have to explain every ingredient in every medication I prescribe right now for some patients. Yet, I have other patients injecting unlabeled and untested products into their bodies multiple times a week. Be discerning. Be wise. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. I also cannot believe a pharmacist would hand out an unlabeled product to be mailed in a ziplock bag for a patient to inject. But alas, this is also another conversation.
