✨ 5 Reasons Your Wax May Hurt More Than It Should ✨

Waxing doesn't have to be a miserable experience! If your appointment felt more uncomfortable than expected, one of these common factors may be the reason:

1️⃣ It's your first wax or you haven't been consistent.When you first start waxing, the hair follicles are stronger and more deeply rooted. Regular waxing helps weaken the hair over time, often making future appointments quicker and more comfortable.

2️⃣ You're close to your menstrual cycle.Hormonal changes before and during your period can make your skin more sensitive to pain. If possible, try scheduling your appointment a few days after your cycle for a more comfortable experience.

3️⃣ You consumed alcohol or caffeine before your appointment.That morning coffee or pre-wax cocktail may seem harmless, but both can increase skin sensitivity and make you feel more reactive during your service.

4️⃣ Your skin is dry or irritated.Dry skin can make it harder for hair to release cleanly from the follicle. Sun exposure, shaving, harsh products, or lack of moisture can also leave the skin feeling more sensitive during waxing.

5️⃣ You're not exfoliating regularly.Dead skin buildup can trap hairs and make them more difficult to remove. Gentle exfoliation 2-3 times per week helps keep the skin smooth, reduces ingrown hairs, and can make your waxing experience more effective and comfortable.

The good news? Most of these factors are easy to manage with proper pre- and post-wax care. 💕
