It’s officially September and that means it’s time for the Washington State Fair!

Fragrance is often marketed with a particular person in mind - evoking a certain lifestyle, aesthetic, and gender.

But when did scent become more about an idealized identity rather than a conceptual mood or feeling?

Fragrance should capture a moment in time. The little glimmers of happiness and stories we reminisce about for years to come. Not only remembering the experience, but feeling it deep in our soul.

One of my favorite things to do is help people find a fragrance they'll enjoy. My first question is always, "What kind of scents do you like?" If they're unsure, I ask a few more questions to determine their scent personality - whether it's bold, exotic, subtle, fresh, or earthy.

And despite how fragrance is traditionally marketed, a lot of women prefer resinous scents, with amber being one of the top requests I receive.

These three perfumes may lean traditionally masculine, but are made for those who appreciate fresh woods and slightly musky undertones.

August is officially here and it feels like summer is fading! I'm soaking in all the floral smells and making plans for beach days before the fall wind arrives.

Summer nights are made for enjoying the slower moments of the season and the campfire "light" aesthetic ✨ My newest candle scent is inspired by lighthouse BnBs, summer travels, and driftwood laden shores.

Gone Coastal is a fresh blend of summer berries, white florals, cedarwood, and honeydew. Hand poured in a vintage ribbed glass vessel with a cracking natural wooden wick.
